This last few days had been amazing. No one had ever made me this happy. I was waiting for him to knock on the door, he said he wanted to take me on a date.

"Who are you waiting for?" I heard a voice behind me and saw Alice.

"No one." I gave her a short answer. She raised her eyebrows.

"Okay." She rolled her eyes and walked away.

I looked back at the window and saw his black Ferrari. A smile appeared on my face when I saw him get off and walk towards the door. I heard a knock on the door and ran downstairs.

"I'll get it!" I yelled.

I grabbed the door handle and opened the door. A smile appeared on his face. He had one hand on his back. He had a bouquet of colorful tulips on it.

"Hello, chérie." He gave me the bouquet of flowers and I smiled brightly.

I gave him a little peck.

"I'll put them in some water. I'll be right back." I told him and he nodded.

I walked back in the house and went straight to the kitchen. I saw the roses that were already dry. I pursed my lips and grabbed another vase and filled it with water. I put the tulips in the vase and put them on the kitchen table.

"Getting lots of flowers lately." I heard a voice and turned around seeing Olga.

"Yeah." I smiled looking down.

"But this one's are tulips." Olga made a thinking face. "What did Charles do now?" She asked and I chuckled softly.

"Nothing, he's fine." I smiled and she raised her eyebrows.

"Oh mon Dieu. You two are finally dating." Olga smiled and I looked down as my face reddened.

"Not exactly but yeah, something like that." I looked up back at her.

"I knew it. I remember one time, when you two were just teens. You were sad because Mrs. Bennet told you that karting was a men's sport, which is honestly ridiculous if I may say." She said and I chuckled. "Anyway. He knocked on the door, I remember opening it and seeing him all shy and his cheeks were totally red. He'd brought you some chocolates to make you feel better. Your favorite ones, that boy knows you way too well. He told me to give them to you but not to tell you he was the one who brought them." She remember and I smiled as she told the story.

"I didn't know it was him. That's so sweet." I spoke and Olga put her hand on my shoulder.

"Don't let that boy go, he really loves you." Olga whispered.

Charles was driving through the busy Monaco streets. We had shades on and we're trying to keep it low-key.

"Where are we going?" I asked looking out the window and then looked at him.

"It's a surprise, but it's somewhere where no one can disturb us." He replied looking at me and then looked back at the road.

"Oh, so we're having a little secret rendezvous?" I asked playfully and he chuckled.

"Yeah, you could say so." He replied smiling and put his hand on my thigh as he drove.

[...]

We were stuck in traffic.

"Merde." Charles cursed and honked the car's horn.

I laid my head back on the seat and sighed. Charles honked the car's horn again, impatient.

"Charles, we'll get there sooner or later, it's okay." I told him and he sighed and rested his head back on his seat.

We heard many voices mumbled things. Charles frowned and looked at the window to see what was going on. I closed my eyes when I felt a flash on my face.

"Putain, quels connards ils sont." Charles cursed and rolled up his window.

Paparazzi started surrounding our car. I put my hand on my face trying to cover it while I heard the cameras take many photos of us.

The traffic started clearing off but Charles couldn't drive off because paparazzi where surrounding the car.

Charles honked the car's horn repeatedly so the paparazzi moved away from the car. They walked away from the front of the car and Charles stepped on the pedal speeding off and away from them.

I sighed relieved.

"I hate paparazzi, they're like the human version of cockroaches." I spoke and Charles chuckled softly. "Our rendezvous is not that secret anymore." I told him and he grabbed my hand and caressed it with his thumb.

"It's okay. Don't let them ruin your day." He smiled and I smiled back.

We had taken our shoes off and Charles was covering my eyes with his hands.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked and chuckled.

"You'll see."

"I can't see anything." I told him and I heard him chuckle.

"I know, just hang on." He replied as we kept walking.

"I'm gonna trip and face plant." I spoke seeing everything pitch black.

"You're not, I'm right here." He rested his head on mine for a second to then keep walking.

"Are we almost there?" I asked and he chuckled again.

"God, you'd always been so impatient but yes, we're here." He spoke playfully and took his hands off my eyes.

I looked around and saw the beach's shore. The sun was setting down, painting the sky of beautiful tones of orange and pink. I felt the sea's breeze and the smell of salt water filled my nose as the waves crashing on the shore touched my feet. I looked at Charles and smiled.

"I know how much you love the beach and even more the sunsets. And you know how much I love seeing you happy." He spoke looking down at me and his cheeks reddening a little bit.

I grabbed his face and brought him closer to kiss him softly. He put his hands on my waist and I kept mine on his jaw. We put our foreheads against each others and smiled.

I let go off him and kneeled down, splashing sea water at him. I chuckled and he laughed.

"You wanna play like that, huh?" He spoke playfully and splashed some water at me.

I screamed when I felt the water and laughed. I splashed water at him again and he walked towards me splashing water. He wrapped his arms around my waist and carried me. Our laughter got louder and we kissed again.

"I want to be by your side forever, no one's ever made me so happy." I whispered grabbing his face gently and he smiled.

"Elodie, you make me the happiest man alive. I couldn't handle being away from you." He whispered.

We kissed again as the sun set down. He wrapped his arms around me tightly and I buried my head on his neck, the smell of his cologne filling my nose. He placed a kiss on the top of my head.

"I love you." He whispered and I looked at him.

I kissed him again and he brought me closer to him if that was even possible. I felt so safe and so happy. He made me the happiest girl on earth and I never wanted it to stop.
