I got off the kart with a bright smile on my face. I took my helmet and balaclava off, my platinum blonde hair fell over my shoulders.

Everyone got off their kart and went over to congratulate me while I put my helmet and gloves in the kart.

"Nice job." A guy congratulated me and we bumped fists.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"You left only dust behind." Another guy added and I smiled.

"Thank you guys, I try my best." I winked and they chuckled and walked off.

Everyone left and I unzipped my race suit and it hung around my waist while I tied my hair in a ponytail.

"You should go pro." I heard a voice and turned around seeing, Gene. I scoffed and smiled.

"I've said it before and I'll say it again, I just do it for fun." I reminded him.

He walked closer to me and I looked up at him.

"You're really good to waste that talent." He looked down at me with a smile on his face. I stared at his deep blue eyes and smiled. "Hey, do you wanna go out later?" He finally asked and I looked away.

"Gene. You know I don't "go out"." I tilted my head with a smile and he opened his mouth to say something. "Toodles." I tousled his black hair cutting him off and walked off before he could say anything.

I walked towards the stands and Margot handed me my water bottle.

"You braked too soon on the third turn." She commented while I chugged the water. I was sweating like a pig.

"I know. I gave Gene the perfect space for an overtake. Won't happen again." I raised my eyebrows and started taking off my race suit.

"You should give the guy a chance." Margot spoke and I glared at her raising an eyebrow. "What? He's cute. He has that baby face and his eyes look so sad every time you reject him."

"I don't do dates." I pursed my lips and smiled.

"Mon Dieu." Margot rolled her eyes and I chuckled.

Her ringtone sounded. She quickly took her phone out and a smile appeared on her face. It was Lando.

"I need to take this. I'll be back in a minute." She spoke with visible excitement and walked down the stands.

I heard her high-pitched "hey" even from the distance.

I sighed and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear. I wished I could do that. His green eyes came to my mind but I quickly shook that image off my head. I blinked quickly several times and shook my head. It's been almost two months and I haven't heard anything from him or about him.

And honestly I wish it stayed that way. It'd just hurt more.

I was invited to a party in a yacht from a local rich boy. You know, one of those kids who grew up with everything handed in a silver platter, yeah, one of those, just like me.

I sometimes feel that people who worked hard to get to where they are feel better about themselves. They don't feel like useless, privileged and spoiled brats.

All my thought disappeared when I was greeted by the blonde, green-eyed boy. Mattheo Windsor.

"Elodie Bennet." He smiled looking me up and down. "You're even more beautiful in person." He kissed the palm of my hand.
