"Bon après-midi Mademoiselle." He finally broke the silence and a smile appeared on his face.

"Charles." I breathed out. The memories flooding back as his dimples became visible. His green eyes glistening and his pink lips curving up. "I'm sorry. I didn't look where I was going." I apologized and he handed me my phone. I looked down and saw the red bracelet around his wrist. He still had it.

"You're apologizing?" He asked confused and I shrugged.

"Yeah?" I frowned.

He stared at me for a while like I was some sort of alien for apologizing. This was getting awkward.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Filming an ad. What are you doing here?" I replied and then threw the same question at him.

"I'm filming an ad..." He replied.

"Mr. Leclerc, Ms. Bennet, they need you in hair and makeup, right now." A woman with headphones on told us. She looked rushed.

Charles and I looked at each other and we froze.

"Right now." The woman repeated when she saw we weren't moving.

"Uh, yeah, thank you." Charles told her and she walked off.

No fucking way.

I had a long black dress on. I put the matching, long gloves on as they did my hair. I had a pearl necklace, red lipstick on and some black heels.

"There you go. All done." The stylist finished curling my hair.

I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. I looked quite nice.

"Thank you." I smiled at her and she nodded.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before standing up and walking towards the set. I walked in and I saw him looking down at his tie. He had a suit on and his hair was slicked back. He looked up and our eyes met. The world froze for a moment as his eyes scanned me.

She looked mesmerizing. Just like I remembered her. I didn't realize seeing her again could bring me so many emotions until now. Now that I had her standing in front of me in a beautiful dress looking as beautiful as ever. Her brown eyes glowing. Her presence felt like a ray of sunshine. It gives you life and light, and you get so used to that light that when it's gone you're just left with darkness and coldness. Her now red lips looking so desirable.

"Okay, get into place." The director's voice interrupted my thoughts and snapped me back to reality.

A reality where I was recording an ad with the girl I let go. I gulped and walked towards the red velvet chair that was in the center of the set with a piano on front.

"Charles, you're gonna be sitting, playing the piano. Elodie, you're gonna be behind him. Touch him, caress him, do everything you have to to show that chemistry we need. That passion." The director explained and Elodie bit her under lip.

I sat on the red velvet chair. Some memories flooding my head. Elodie stood behind me and my whole body tensed up when I felt her presence behind me.

"Everyone ready?" The director asked looking around and everyone nodded. "And action!"

I started playing a melody I knew. It was the same melody I've taught Elodie. I felt her hands on my shoulders. She slipped them through my chest as she circled around me. A shiver was sent into my whole body but I kept a straight face. She caressed my cheek and I looked at her, our eyes meeting and she smiled. A smile unconsciously appeared on my face.

"And cut!" The director yelled and Elodie immediately took a step back. My smile faded and I cleared my throat. "That was perfect! Let's get ready for the next shot. We need an individual shot from both and then we're moving on to the last shot." The director explained and we nodded.

It was time for the last shot. We knew what we needed to do. I think I was sweating. I was a nervous wreck and I didn't know why. I couldn't feel like this. I have a g...

"Charles. Are you ready?" The director asked and I nodded.

I turned around and walked towards Elodie. She rested her arms on my shoulder and I put my hands on her waist.

"And action!"

We swayed around the set. Memories flooding my head and I was suddenly teleported into that night. The night of our first kiss when we danced under the rain for hours.

"May I?" I made a reverence and she chuckled and grabbed my hands.

"Yes you may." She smiled.

I spun her around and pulled her back in toward me. Our noses touching as I felt her breathing heavily. My heart was pounding against my chest because of our closeness. The scent of her perfume filling my nose. I was just a few millimeters far from her lips. Her soft lips.

"And cut!"

I quickly took a step back, overwhelmed by the situation. She looked startled by my quick movement.

"Amazing job! It was perfect. Congratulations to everyone. Specially to our stars who have a great chemistry." The director pointed at us and everyone clapped.

I looked at Elodie and smiled. She smiled back and I felt my heart race.

I was sitting on a couch in the waiting area. I was waiting for my taxi. I had my earphones on. I was listening to Reflections by The Neighbourhood. I hummed the melody while resting my chin on my hand.

I felt someone sit besides me and turned around seeing Charles. He grabbed one of my earphones.

"Can I?" He asked and I nodded and shrugged. He put in on and smiled. "I like this song." He mentioned.

"I know." I smiled and he smiled back.

"How've you been?" He suddenly threw the question and I sighed.

"I've been fine." I forced a smile.

"I could see that. You dyed your hair?" He asked and I chuckled.

"No, the color washed off." Sarcasm dripped from my words and he chuckled.

"Okay, all right, I asked the stupid question." He looked down with a smile. "You look great." He complimented me and I smiled looking down.

"Thank you." I looked back at him.

"Would you...you know, like to go out some time?" He asked and my heart pounded against my chest. I wanted to jump from excitement.

"Yeah, sounds cool." I replied trying to hides my nerves.

"Sounds cool." He repeated and smiled.

"Ms. Bennet, your taxi's here." The receptionist told me and I looked at her.

Charles gave me my earphone back and stood up.

"See you tomorrow after the sprint?" He asked putting his hands on his pockets.

"Of course." I smiled.

I turned around and walked towards the exit. I looked at him one last time and smiled. He smiled back and I walked out of the building.

"We were too close to the stars
I never knew somebody like you
somebody
Falling just as hard"

I got in the taxi with a smile on my face. Maybe we could exist again. Maybe we could give it another try and make it work out this time. Maybe we could reach the stars this time. Maybe, maybe, maybe.
