Please Come Watch (Choco Ball Cookie x fem!Reader)

Chapter 7

"Whoa, this place is even bigger than the venue for the dance competition." You said as you stood outside the stadium where the boy's soccer team would be playing. It might only be used for school sporting events, but it was huge and tons of other people were heading in to watch the game. Part of you wondered if Choco Ball would be alright playing with all these people watching him.

"I know right?! And so many people too, I wonder if we'll be able to find our seats." Cotton Candy said. She was a good friend of yours from back in high school, and with Popping Candy busy with singing lessons and Cherry Ball busy with volleyball practice, Cotton Candy was your next pick to come with you to the game.

Besides, she also had quite the crush on Choco Ball. This didn't come as any surprise to you, Cotton Candy was always falling in and out of love with practically everyone. Plus, Choco Ball is super hot, it would come as more of a surprise to you if she didn't end up falling in love with him at some point.

"We should start heading in now, the game's gonna start soon!" You said, grabbing onto Cotton Candy's hand.

"Right! Let's go!" Cotton Candy replied enthusiastically. The two of you headed over to the entrance to the stadium, eager to watch Choco Ball's game.

[In the stadium, during the match]

"He's heading over to the other side of the field and... GOAL! Choco Ball has scored another point for Dark Fudge College!" The commentator said as Choco Ball successfully scored once again. "With that goal, Dark Fudge has practically won the match already!"

"Wow, that was amazing!" Cotton Candy said, grabbing onto your arm and bouncing. "He's so handsome and athletic! No wonder he's the star player of our team!"

"Yeah, he's so amazing." You said, almost completely focusing on how happy Choco Ball looked as he celebrated with his team. The wide smile on his face was absolutely dazzling, and you could practically feel his excitement from where you were in the stands.

To a part of you, it felt like it was just you and Choco Ball in existence, and it seemed really fitting. Ever since you started attending the same school as him you only ever admired him from afar, too nervous to try to talk to him. It's been a while now, and you really wanted to close the gap between you two, but you've just never had the courage to.

Almost as if on cue, Choco Ball had spotted you in the crowd and gave you a determined smirk. Almost as if he was saying he would win it for you. While it made your heart pound out of your chest, it also reminded you that it was finally happening. The gap between the two of you was already starting to close, and it was only a matter of time before you would finally be ready to confess to him.

And, deep down, you hoped he would feel the same way.
