It is the 4th of July night. The mayor is hosting a carnival but the party didn't come due to the mishap that happened.
They are still in the cabin as El is settled on the couch since she was wasted on the channeling.
"He said that he was building something. That it was for me.." El explains as Nora wipes her tears with the handkerchief she gave.
"Building something... Is he talking about the flayed?" Max questions.
"He must be" Nancy replies as she scratches her head from thinking.
"So he's building an army just like we thought" Lucas says as he paces around.
"Yeah, but he's not building this army to spread-" Mike assumes.
"He's building it to stop Eleven" Will finishes Mike's sentence.
"Last year, El closed the gate on him on him. I have the feeling it really pissed him off" Mike assumes.
"Like, really" Nora nods as she cups El's cheeks.
"And the mind flayer now knows that she's the only thing that can stop him. But if she's outta of the way-" Mike adds.
"Game over.." Lucas finishes.
"He also said, he was gonna kill all of you" El tells them.
Everyone turned worried and shocked, as suspension hovered over them.
"Oh wow, that's just nice" Nora sarcastically said as she pinches her nose.
A faint screech was suddenly heard from the distance.
Nancy walks to the window in front of them and looked at worry.
"Do you guys hear that?" Nancy asks them as she then shudders.
Everyone hears another screech and grew uneasy.
"It's just the fireworks..?" Jonathan reassures them as he looked to the window.
"Billy.." Nancy turns around to El "When he told you this, it was here? In this room?" Nancy asks her.
El nods. Nora realizes something and turns around to the door.
Then series of thudding was heard.
"He knows we're here.." Nora breathes out as she raised the inner part of her eyebrows.
Everyone heads out of the cabin and rushes to the other side of the cabin.
Nora notices trees rustling, then sees a fleshy huge ass creature.
Nora lingers on Max's hand for comfort as she held on tightly.
"We need to board up the cabin" Jonathan tells everyone and looked at them.
