"Meredith? We should go. Evie's party will start soon" Derek announced

"I know. Can you help me get up?" Meredith asked her husband. They were Addison and Mark's baby's godparents so they didn't wanna be late for the party but even 1.5 years after they announced their pregnancy Meredith was still having a hard time with her body

"Of course" He smiled and they linked arms, he led her to their car. Their daughters were 16 and 14 now and had spend the night with Addison and Mark and had prepared their niece's party all morning

"Will Amy come home any time soon?" Meredith asked with a yawn

"I don't think she'll be in Seattle soon.." Derek sighed as he really missed his little sister even though he was glad she had found the love of her life

"Kay" Meredith breathed and fell asleep as Derek drove to Mark and Addison's house

A little while later he woke her up as they had arrived. He grabbed their present in one hand, while he helped Meredith inside with the other

"Bababa!" Evie brabbled as Addison opened the door, both were dressed into a pink dress with a bow in their hair

"You two look stunning" Meredith chuckled as she saw them

"Bababa!" Evie smiled

"Hi honey, I missed you" Meredith kissed Evie's forehead and hugged Addison, Derek did the same

"Let's go inside!" Addison smiled

"Mom!" Emma smiled as she spotted her mother

"Hi monkey. How was last night?" She asked her daughter with a smile as they slowly made their way to the backyard

"So much fun!!" Emma smiled and held tightly onto her mother's hand

"I wanna hear all about it" Meredith smiled and took a seat

"Evie wants to spend some time with you, I hope you don't mind?" Addison chuckled as she placed the little girl in Derek's arms

"Of course not" He smiled

"I'm going to get Mark dressed now" Addison laughed

"We'll keep Evie entertained" Meredith smiled and brushed her fingers over the little girl's cheeks

"Mom! Dad!" Ava smiled as she walked towards them and gave them a hug

"Hi monkey" Derek smiled

"I think nana and poppa will be here soon" Emma smiled at Meredith

...

"Who wants a piece of cake?" Addison asked

"Me!" Ava smiled

"Me first!" Mark laughed

"Elder people first!" Christopher laughed as well

"Hey honey, are you okay?" Carolyn asked how Meredith had gotten quiet

"Yeah" Meredith lied. She felt tired and exhausted but she needed to be here, she needed to do this for her goddaughter

"Honey, if you need to lay down-" Carolyn tried but got interrupted by Meredith shaking her head no

"I'm fine" She sternly said but exhaustion and pain was hearable in her voice

"Of course" Carolyn sighed and rubbed her daughter's back softly

Meredith sat down on her chair. She watched everyone dig in and suddenly felt her husband's hand on her thigh but she was focussing so bad on her aching body that she didn't bother to look into his eyes and just kept staring at her table

"Mer?" Derek tried to get her attention "Meredith?" He frowned and saw Addison and Carolyn looking over at them

"Hmm?" Meredith finally turned to look at him as tears pooled in her eyes

"What's going on?" He quietly asked

"H-Hurts" She softly sobbed but wasn't longer able to keep her body up so he was right on time to held her in his arms which didn't go unnoticed by the others

"What's going on?" Their dad jumped up

"She's exhausted.." Derek sighed

"Let's carry her to the couch so she can lay down" Mark spoke up and watched as his dad wanted to lift Meredith

"Dad, I'll carry her" Derek said and lifted his wife in his arms, carrying her over to the living room where he placed her down, Mark placed a pillow underneath her head and knees while Christopher covered her with a blanket

"Mer, is this better?" Mark asked but she was barely responsive "I'll grab your bag so we can check her vitals

"I'll grab it, you should return to Evie and Addie" Christopher suggested

"Shh, it will all be okay" Derek kissed her forehead as she started groaning before she sobbed "It's okay"

"Evie-" Meredith whimpered but it was all too much for her

It wasn't just the pain, it was also the humiliation, the shame but mainly it was that she felt like a burden because everyone always had to help her

"Evie's having her cake, honey" Christopher forced a smile as he walked back and opened the bag and checked Meredith out

"And?" Derek asked, slightly afraid of what could be going on

"Way too low" Christopher sighed

"Damit.." Derek sighed

...

Everyone was now in the living room where Meredith was still laying down, half asleep, in Derek's arms while being monitored

"Why don't you take her home?" Carolyn suggested

"I wanna take her to the doctor.." Derek sighed

"I think she should be fine, Der" Christopher rubbed his back

"Why don't we do another sleepover? It's been ages since we did one" Mark smiled

"I have to admit that I love that idea" Carolyn nodded

"I think Mer would really enjoy that" Derek nodded

"And we'll all be able to keep an eye on her" Christopher nodded

"Sounds like a great plan" Derek smiled, remembering the sleep overs they did when Meredith was sick the first time and even if she was out for most of tonight's sleepover he was still happy they had their family. It was only around 6 am when she woke up from the pain in her stomach that she had realised everyone was on a mattress in Addison and Mark's huge living room

"Der?" She weakly whispered

"Hi sleepyhead" He smiled as she saw her eyes flutter

"I love it" She mumbled in his chest before falling asleep again

Honestly doubted if I was ever gonna update this one again :O I hope y'all enjoyed. Sorry for being so quiet lately! I was supposed to be off today and Thursday but they cancelled Thursday so I also wanna rest a bit bcs im exhausted :p
