Nightmare

Chapter 35

..Blakes POV..

As I open my eyes, I adjust to the bright sun light shining in through the window. I look to my side and see Ruth still asleep, with Milo sleeping next to her. "I love you" I whisper before placing a kiss on her cheek. Shes so beautiful, I'm very lucky to have her. The most gorgeous, and most amazing women.

As I get off the bed, memories from what happen last night popped into my head. Ruth will probably wake up sore and tired, so I decide to make her breakfast and go get some of her favorite cake and coffee. I shower really quick, get ready and write a note to Ruth.

Good morning my love, sorry if I'm not here when you wake up. I went to go get some stuff, but I'll be back soon. I love you beautiful.

I grab my phone and keys from the nightstand and make my way out the bedroom and towards the front door. I lock the door and make my way towards my car; I decide to first get some stuff that I'll need for breakfast. Five minutes later I'm outside a grocery store. I turn the engine off and open the car door.

I walk in through the open doors and grab a grocery cart, I spend about 2 minutes picking the best strawberries, then move on to getting some fresh green grapes, pancake batter, blueberries, eggs, and some of Ruths favorite chocolate bars, and some other stuff that I think Ruth would like as well.

As I'm walking towards the checkout area, I see some ladies staring at me while talking, they look around their 20's, I keep on walking and see one of them walking towards me. I pick up my pace and make it towards the checkout counter,

"Good morning, found everything okay?" the girl says while scanning some items. "Yeah, thank you" I tell her, I'm placing some more items on the counter when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and see the lady who was walking towards me standing in front of me.

"Excuse me, can you please take your hand off of me" I tell her, she chuckles before playing with a strand of her hair. "I'm Susan" she says, when did I ask what her name was? I ignore her and and start grabbing the bags with groceries in the car.

"Can I get your number handsome?" the lady asks, "I have a girlfriend" I tell her while looking up at the girl who's scanning my groceries. Shes looking at the lady with this look that makes me want to laugh. "Thats a bummer, can I still have your number though?" she asks, "no" I tell her.

I feel her place a hand on my arm, "Come on, your girlfriend won't be mad" she says, "I'm not going to give you, my number." I state, "Do-" but Susan gets cut off by the girl who's scanning my items. "Lady didn't you hear him already? Hes not going to give you his number, leave him alone" she says.

I look at Susan and she looks angry, "oh shut up you girl" Susan tells the girl, before turning around and walking away. "Thank you, Carly," I say reading her name tag, "yeah no problem, I swear I thought she was deaf for a minute" Carly says making me chuckle. "Your total will be twenty-nine dollars, and 40 cents" she says, I take out forty dollars and hand them to her.

"Keep the change, thanks again" I say before walking away. I place all the bags inside the car and put the cart away. I turn on the engine and make my way to a nearby bakery, Ruths favorite bakery. As I walk inside I see an elderly couple sitting in a table. They are chatting while drinking coffee and eating a piece of cake in front of them.

Thats going to be me and Ruth when we're older, I order 2 slices of Ruths favorite cake, along with her favorite coffee. "Thank you, have a nice day" I tell the young man before walking out the front door.

I unlock the front door and walk inside placing all the grocery bags on the kitchen counter.

I start taking out a bowl to make the pancake batter when I feel arms wrap around my waist, "good morning handsome..." Ruth says before placing a soft kiss on my bare arm. "Goodmorning beautiful, how did you sleep?" I ask her, "amazing." she says, I chuckle before turning around and placing  a kiss on her forehead.

"Why don't you go shower, get dressed while I make breakfast. Then we can go out and do some stuff?" I tell her, "Sure" Ruth says with a smile on her face. "Oh, one question, blueberry or chocolate pancakes?" I ask her, "umm chocolate" she says. "great" I say with a smile before kissing her forehead again.

Ruth turns around and walks back to the room, I turn around and start making the pancake batter. After that's done, I grab some chocolate chips and pour them into the batter. I grab the strawberries I bought at the grocery store and wash them.

It's been about 30 minutes, the chocolate pancakes are done, the fresh strawberries are cut and, in a bowl, along with some blueberries. Now I'm making some scrambled eggs, as I turn off the stove, I hear someone sit down.

"Something smells good" Ruth says, I turn around and see her sitting down. Her hair is still wet from the shower she must've taken, and she's wearing a gray long sleeve with some black denim jeans.

"You look beautiful" i say walking towards her, "thank you..." she says before kissing my lips. "I got you your favorite coffee, it's still warm" I tell her, I grab the coffee cup and place it in front of her.

"Thank you" she says with a smile on her face, "and I made you breakfast" I say walking towards the stove and placing the eggs on a plate, along with the pancakes and some chopped up fruits on the side.

"You are the best." Ruth says before kissing my cheek as I place the plate in front of her. I grab another plate and serve some eggs and pancakes for myself.

As I sit next to Ruth, I start telling her about what happened today at the grocery store. We both laughed at the end. "I have to meet Carly, got to thank her" Ruth say before taking a strawberry and popping it into her mouth.

I smile before getting up and grabbing the small brown box with the slice of cake inside. "Got one last thing for my favorite person" I say while placing the box in front of her.

"You did not." Ruth says while looking at me with a happy expression on her face. "I did" I say before sitting down. "I love you" she says before opening the box.

"And I love you" I tell her before taking a sip of my coffee.

End of this chapter, I'm terribly sorry for not updating this story sooner. I've gotten very caught up on 'Our summer' that I've haven't had time to work on a chapter for this one. But here it is now, I'm sorry if it wasn't the best. I'll try to make the last few that remain better.
