"Dale was a good guy. He will always be remembered.. Never forgotten." I began to tune out Ricks speech. It was a lovely speech but I couldn't listen. I was far too upset to listen. I closed my eyes allowing two tears to slide down my cheeks. Thea stood beside me, her small hand holding mine tightly. Daryl held my small body close to his, and kissed my forehead gently, as a small cry escaped my lips. Shane was not phased by this at all. He always hated dale.
Rick: overall dale wears the hat of gratitude... He knew stuff about everyone that no one else knew.
Being the wise old man of the group, everyone went to dale for advice or he approached them when he knew something was going on. I cringed at the thought of never seeing him again and more tears escaped my eyes, slowly running down my cheeks. It took everything I had not to break down right now. Daryl pulled me closer and bent down to pick Thea up, who also had a tear stained face. Seeing her cry broke me. I placed my hands over my mouth to try to suppress the cries escaping my mouth. I moved closer to daryl, crying into his chest. I didn't want to make this a scene, but I couldn't take it anymore. Thea was upset, I was upset, Dale was gone. Forever. Daryl whispered to me as I cried as softly as I could.
Daryl: hey hey hey...
Daryl didn't know how to handle both of his girls crying right now. Hearing Thea's small cries made me cry more. First Sophia and then dale. Two drastic and horrible losses in one day.
Rick: Dale will be remembered.
And with that, rick ended the service. Almost everyone in tears now. I even saw a stray tear slide down Ricks scruffy face as he spoke about the impact dale had had on every single one of us.
*****3 hours later****
Thea sat in my lap as I fixed her blonde hair into a pony tail. We were both a lot better now, Dale will forever be in our memory, and he is with his wife now. Thea shook her head as I finished her pony tail, she loved making her hair whip around when it was tied up. I giggled and I looked toward the RV to see Lori and Shane fighting by the RV. Lori was super suspicious lately, she was definetly hiding something. Shane had his hands on his hips, pursing his lips at her, she shook her head at him. I heard a few footsteps behind me and then a voice.
Glenn: Beth cut herself....
I turned around to see glenn standing there behind me. Beth was the blonde farm girl. She went in shock after the walkers were released from the barn, and she watched her mother -walker- get killed. I knew how she felt, cutting always seems like a better option, when you just want to feel something. Anything. She will come to her senses if she wants to, it bothered me that Maggie and Herschel were up her butt about it though. If Beth doesn't want to live in this world, she shouldn't have to.
Danielle: I hate what they're doing to her, she should have a choice.
Lori screamed "no" loudly at shane, catching my attention again. I watched as she stormed away from him, leaving Shane with a satisfied look on his face. I rolled my eyes and looked back at Glenn who had my same facial expression.
Danielle: everyone's acting crazy... Shane, Maggie.. Lori!
Glenn's face turned a bright shade of red at the mention of Lori. It was like he knew something. I gave him a questioned look, he would tell me for sure.
Danielle: what do you know?
Glenn looked around making sure no one else was listening and went to speak, but stopped himself. He looked down at Thea who was playing with her stuffed bear. She looked back up at him, smiling and waving.
Thea: hi uncle glenn!
He smiled at the sound of her calling him uncle. It was cute. I nodded my head and covered her ears with my hands, she stayed still, knowing she wasn't suppose to her what glenn was about to say.
