I wasn't letting my worries get the best of me. I sat next to Daryl as he drove one handed to Woodbury. Andrea sat in the backseat quiet as a mouse. She didn't ask anything about my father, I'm assuming she knew it was a sore subject. But I'm a big girl now, I can handle my problems and talk about them.

Danielle: he disowned me....

Neither Daryl or Andrea responded to that. I wanted to talk, maybe it would help ease my worries about seeing my baby.

Danielle: "Martinez"

I put my hands up and made quotes with my fingers as I mentioned my dads alter ego.

Danielle: his real name is Tom. He had a wife.... Sara? That ring a bell Andrea?

She looked at me in the side view mirror. I wondered if my parents had split up after they disowned me, or if something had happened to my mother before the world went to shit.

Andrea: I don't talk to him very often, he's pretty quiet about his personal life. Was Sara your mother?

I smiled to myself, remembering my mother in a better time. She was always the voice of reason. She always talked sense into my dad but something snapped that day in the hospital. It was like I truly let her down and there was just no rebuilding from that. I nodded.

Daryl: hey we're almost there... R'memeber. We're gettin in an gettin out.

My heart began to race. I wasn't sure why. I wasn't nervous about facing my father. I wasn't that nervous about seeing my baby. I wasn't scared about being in Woodbury. But I felt the anxiety build up. Daryl pulled up to the wall, he stopped the car and Andrea hopped out.

Andrea: hey it's me, it's Andrea!

The gunman on the top of the wall nodded and motioned with his gun toward our vehicle. Andrea turned to look at us telling us to get out.

Andrea: they're from the prison. The girl is pregnant, I just want to show them what we can do here.

It was quiet for a second and then the gates opened, allowing the three of us to walk in. It was fairly dark outside the gates, I mean it was night and there's no street lights. But when the gates opened it was like a whole other world. The streets were empty but there were lights on in houses, streetlights lit the streets, some houses I could even hear a radio or tv on. There was no sign of my father, which I was content with.

I gave Daryl a look of approval. We could totally raise our kids here, I mean if it weren't for the governor of course. Andrea led us up the stairs to a nicely lit porch and she gently knocked on the door.

Andrea: Allison, she is one of our doctors here. She's the most experienced with ultra sound.

The door opened slowly revealing a middle aged woman with light blonde/gray hair. I assumed it was Allison, and she smiled at Andrea.

Andrea: Allison this is my friend Danielle and her husband Daryl. She's expecting a little one and where she's from they don't have the technology that we still have.

I waved hi and smiled. Daryl stood stiff behind me, I could tell he was uncomfortable. Allison was so nice and bubbly even this late at night. I couldn't shake the feeling that she was "too nice" and this was a trap. But I couldn't imagine Andrea doing that to me. Or maybe this place actually was perfect.

Allison: well c'mon in sweetie, let's take a look at ya.

We walked into a nice little home, something I haven't seen in quite a while. I almost felt the need to take my shoes off. I followed Andrea who was being led by Allison down the hallway and into a very well lit room. It reminded me of a doctors office, well I guess it kind of was. There was stethoscopes, tongue depressors, even a fancy bed that leans back for patients to sit on. As I took it all in I noticed the machine with the screen, the sonogram machine. I took a deep breath.
