The prince who fell

Chapter 2

Sonic felt relief when he saw his friends from afar, and yet he continued to run for them even with his clothes cold and wet. They all stopped once hearing Sonic's voice, not sure if they were hearing things.

But once they saw him running for them from afar, they ran toward him.
Sonic felt himself crying as he was tackled in a hug by them, all cried in relief.

"Are you okay? Please tell me you're not fucking hurt." Amy cried as she slightly let go of him, Rouge and Tails agreed with a nod.

"I'm fine, I think?" Sonic said slightly laughing as he hugged his friends tighter, they hugged back. "Sonic we saw what happened, how did you escape?" Rouge asked worried as she let go of Sonic, Sonic in turn tried to hug Amy and Tails closer to himself.

It was there and then they realized his hands were cuffed, Rouge grabbed his arms softly before unlocking the cuffs with a hair clip.

"I ran away with Manic, but he went back for them." Sonic explained sadly, nearly crying. Rouge and Amy stared at him worried, Sonic wasn't one to cry easily. Tails just hugged him tighter, Amy eventually let Sonic go.

"Wait you saw what happened, then you know what happened to my family right?" Sonic said looking toward them, Tails sighed sadly as he hugged Sonic tighter.

Sonic stared at them as both Amy and Rouge looked away sadly. Sonic could feel himself tear up, "right?" Sonic said upset, his tears falling down his face.

"We aren't sure, many people ran away when the arrows were shooting. The last time I saw them was when you and your family ran back inside the castle." Rouge said finally looking back to Sonic, sadness still shown on her face.

Sonic sighed as he let Tails go, Tails backed up a bit. Sonic groaned as he wiped away his tears, soon slightly laughing into the air. They all looked at him sadly as he sighed again, Sonic looked down at his outfit seeing it's wet and soggy state.

"Can we go inside? My clothes are wet and I'm starting to get cold." Sonic said slightly laughing, Amy and Tails looked at Sonic's outfit in surprise before Amy finally responded, "of course! Come!"

Along the way to Rouge's house, Rouge asked him a question. "How and why are you're clothes wet Sonic?"

Sonic stared at her surprised, before remembering what happened. He stopped his tracks as he remembered the sea creature, and how it saved him.
of course Sonic couldn't tell them! They would think he is crazy! But what else is he supposed to say?

They all stopped now staring at Sonic in worry, Sonic sighed as he told them parts of what happened. As he continued on talking he noticed his friends reactions turn to anger and sadness.

"That nasty bitch! I knew there was something up with her!" Amy said angry as Sonic got to the part where Sally betrayed him.

Sonic laughed pitifully, Tails grabbed his hand sadly smiling at him. Sonic smiled before holding Tails hand back, "thanks buddy." Sonic said smiling softly toward him.

Tails smiled back before looking forward, Sonic then continued to tell them what happened. He then explained himself falling off the cliff and then himself landing in the water.

They looked at him scared before Amy spoke up, "but Sonic you can't swim!"

Sonic laughed as Rouge opened the door to her house, "I know." They stared at him shocked and confused, "I'll explain once I get dressed." Sonic said finally as Rouge shut the door behind her.

Rouge left to go find clothes for him while Amy started to make tea, Tails even though knowing Sonic was wet hugged him anyway. Sonic smiled softly hugging back, then Rouge came back with the clothes.
