Chapter 10 ➫ target

My eyes opened wide at this action. 'Who is this and why are they hugging me?' I questioned myself. The person who was hugging me suddenly rested their chin on my shoulder. Their warm breath blowed on my neck. It gave me the shivers. "Y/n chan I missed you.." The musky voice muttered. When they spoke I picked up on who it was. "S-sasuke?" I was shocked, why was sasuke here? "I came for multiple reasons..." Sasuke continued. "First I missed hearing your voice, second to warn you. The akatsuki is targeting you." He said while remaining in his position. I ignored the warning and started talking but that old fart yelled again. "Y/n GET BACK HERE!!" Sasuke kissed your shoulder and disappeared. I touched my shoulder in shock. A blush crept up on my face as I stood dumb founded. My sensei finally found me and yelled again. I jumped up and tried to hide the blush so he didn't suspect anything. "No goofing off! Lets go!" he yelled. I nodded and followed him back to the field.

"I'm gonna get you this time old man!" I said while drawling out my swords and smirking. "Nahh, I don't think this time. I activated my glow and started running towards him. We fought back and forth for at least 4 hours before we called it quits. "Y/n come back at this same spot tomorrow before the sun rises, cya!" The spunky man then disappeared into the smoke. I sighed as I rubbed my back. I had to admit, he was old but he still had some life in him. I put my katanas back in their holsters and jumped towards the village. I promised Naruto that I would eat ramen with him. I got to the village and slowed down as soon as I got to my compound. I still had a little extra time before I met up with naruto.

I jumped over the walls of my estate and entered my house. I looked around and admired what I used to call home. As I was looking around I started piecing things together. My brother is in a group thats called 'Akatsuki' And from what sasuke said they are targeting me. "I will just go ask naruto who they are." I muttered out loud. I stepped out of my former homes door and quickly ran towards the ramen shop. I got there just as soon as naruto arrived. "Hey y/n chan!" Naruto exclaimed. "Hi naruto." I replied back. We both sat on the tall chairs in the shop and talked. A lady took our orders and then left to go tell the chef. i decided this would be a good time to ask naruto my question. "Hey naruto do you know what the akatsuki is?" He froze in his place. "Y/n chan, why are you asking?" He questioned in a concerned tone. "Because I heard from a little bird that they are targeting me."

He froze in his place again. Were these 'Akatsuki' People really that bad? "They are a s ranked crime group, why are they targeting you y/n chan?" Naruto asked in s concerned voice. "I don't know honestly..." I replied while trailing off. I man suddenly came with ramen. "here you go Naruto and here you go-" He stopped and smirked at naruto. "who is the lucky lady?" He asked naruto. "oh, hehe this is y/n chan!" Naruto said while starting to eat his noodles. "Are you two dating?" He questioned again. "well, no.." Naruto replied while scratching the back of his neck. "But we are really close friends!" I told the guy. "Oh okay well you two enjoy."and with that he left.

We both finished our ramen and stood up. "are you ready to go to the hot springs y/n chan?" Naruto questioned with a toothy smile. "yup." I replied. We started walking towards the bath house. There was a peaceful silence between us. I starting thinking on if I should tell Naruto about what happened with sasuke. But I realized if I told him he would go crazy and try to run after him. We got to the hot springs and split up. The lady working there told me that the other girls were already in there. I stepped in the room got undressed and put my towel on quickly. I placed my clothes on the bench and stepped into the water room. "Hey y/n!" Sakura exclaimed. "hello sakura." I replied back. I looked around before I got in. Sakura, hinata, ino and ten ten was in there.

I stepped in the water and sat close to sakura. "So y/n we heard you went on a date with naruto."She said while nudging me on the side. "It was just lunch, and there was other people with us." I lied, I knew Hinata loved Naruto and I didn't want her thinking I was going out with her future man or something. I slipped under water till only my head was showing. This felt relaxing. It has been a long time since iv'e been in a hot spring. The last time I went was after the chunin exams. I went alone to celebrate passing. I talked to the girls a little bit to get to know there personality's a little better. Honestly out of all of them, I liked ten ten the most. She was funny and kind. She kept talking about how Lee would challenge neji all the time and neji would decline. The evening was filled with laughter but eventaully they had to go. "Cya girls." I said while sinking into the water more. I decided to stay a little longer and have alone time. I swam around for a few minutes than leaned my head against the wall. I started thinking to myself all the events that happened in the past few days.

I sighed and decided it was time to call it for the night. I got out of the water and wrapped a towel around me quick. I then walked to the dressing room and changed back into my ninja clothes. I grabbed my katanas too and walked out of the hot springs. I felt a few pair of eyes watching me, but I ignored thinking nothing of it. I walked a few steps but I was stopped by two figures in the dark. I looked closer to try to see who it was, but I couldn't see anything. I suddenly saw two red circles located to where the eyes should be. I looked closer and realized something, but it was to late. Everything went black and I started seeing things.

Images of me being slaughtered in different cruel ways. I tried to break through this genjutsu but it didn't work.
