Chapter 28 ➫Just as good

-lil time skip-

~y/n flashback-

"Big brother I want to be as strong as you one day! I actually want to be stronger!" Young y/n exclaimed a little to loud.

"Shhh y/n if mother hears she will get ma-"

"What y/n?" The tall mother said while leaning on the door frame.

"N-nothing...." She muttered.

The tall figure nodded in suspicion and walked away.

"That was close y/n! Be a little more quiet!! I'll train you so you can be strong, but not stronger than me!" He said while giggling.

"Okay!"

-end of flashback-

"Y/nnnn" "y/n!" Pregnant Sakura yelled.

"Oh I'm sorry I was gazing off.." I said while putting my head down.

Sakura invited me to dinner, and I couldn't deny, plus she wanted pregnancy tips.

"So do you have morning sickness?" I asked.

"Every morning it's such a hastle.."

"Don't worry girl same.. but once your baby is born it will all get better." I said while looking down at my own baby.

"So where's Tsukiyas dad?" Sakura questioned while staring down at her food.

"Oh he's very busy with missions right now.. I never really get to see him any more." I muttered.

"Oh my.. I'm dearly sorry y/n San.." she replied.

"It's okay, when he's gone I have 1 less kid to deal with." I said while giggling.

"Hahaha yeah kiba is basically a man child." Sakura laughed.

"Well I have to go Sakura.. thank you for inviting me to dinner." I said while standing up.

"No problem y/n San! Have a safe trip home!" She waved.

....

I couldn't sleep that whole night, thoughts filling my head.

'Was sasuke gone this long because he was laying in bed with a different woman?'

'Does he even love me anymore?'

My thoughts were caught off by my child crying.

I got up out of my bed and checked the clock.

2am

I picked tsukiya up and rocked him around. While doing so I walked over to the bedroom mirror.

My eye bags were worse than ever and my breasts were saggy. My face looked pale and my eyes were smaller than usaul.

Raising a baby all by myself wasn't doing well. As I walked away from the mirror I started to cry. I'm usually not this emotional but this was my first period since my pregnancy.

As tears rolled down my face tsukiya seemed to calm down. It was almost like he was reading my emotions. My eyes widened at this. He moved his frail baby arm towards my upper chest.

"Awhh tsukiya..." I coed.

He than fell asleep in my arms.

I smiled softly and layed his raven hair in the crib.

Good night my baby...

-morning-

*knock knock*

I woke up and quickly pulled my sweatpants on and a spaghetti smeared tang top.

I rushed to the door and opened it. It was Naruto.

"Hey y/n- woah you look tired." He said sounding shocked.

"Oh yeah um raising a baby all by myself isn't doing me to well." I said while looking down.

"I'm sorry y/n.. but I have something to tell you." He said.

I looked up signaling him to speak.

"We think we have drove your brother away from the village but another person has entered. We do not know what he is after.. but he seems to be identified as an akatsuki member that Shikamaru "killed" a few years back." He explained.

"Well atleast it's not my brother.." I muttered.

"Well y/n you have an opportunity to join the anbu.. hinata had offered to watch tsukiya when you get called out. Wanna join?" He asked.

"Oh.. yeah sure, life isn't that entertaining right now." I said in a tired voice.

"Well you start in a week start training!" He said while leaving.

"Oh okay naruto thank you so much... it means a lot to me." I said while waving goodbye to my childhood friend.

I sighed as he closed the door an plopped onto the couch.

I placed my palm on my temple and rubbed it.

As soon as I thought I was gonna catch a break Tsukiya started crying.

"Guess this is what I get for having sex.." I slightly giggled.

It was worth every moment tho.. not one regret.

-the next day-

I quickly got up right before dawn, and did my daily house chores and fed Tsukiya. After that I placed him in his crib and slipped on my ninja outfit. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw my old self truely coming back. I smiled.

I grabbed a baby swaddle and put tsukiya in it. He was quick to cuddle up to my chest. I locked my door and paced myself towards my old training grounds.

...

"Just like old times.." I muttered to myself. Seeing this place gave me nostalgia. I grabbed a couple Kunais distanced myself from the self made target I crafted when I was younger.

I threw it and, just like old days I hit the middle spot on. Maybe I didn't loose all my power.
