Chapter 14 ➫New mission

-The next day-
(Y/n pov)

Lady hokage called me to her office so I'm assuming I'm getting a mission! Finally. I dont care what type of mission it is, I just want one.

I entered the hokages office and greeted her.

"Y/n I have called you here for multiple reasons." She said.

"First, you have a really big opportunity. You do not have to take it but.."

"There is a spot open for the ANBU captain. This will also keep you in the village. This is very important knowing the akatsuki is still targeting you."

What? The akatsuki is still targeting me? After I escaped? Chills ran down my spine.

"Lady hokage, while I am very thankful and honored to be offered this role I would like to decline." I replied.

"That's okay y/n, so the second thing was I have a mission for you. Its B ranked and if you complete it you will be paid very Farley." She continued.

"You will escort the prince right here to his home town, he must be brought back with not even a scratch."

The prince stepped up and revealed himself. He was very short and independent looking. You could tell he was atleast late 20 early 30s.

"My name is Prince K" he said while walking up to me.

"But you can call me K lovely lady" he said while winking at me.

"Erm.." I said while cringing and looking at lady hokage.

"Fine.."

--time skip---

We weren't even 10 minutes into the walk and he starts blabbing already.

"Woman, pick me up and carry me."
He exclaimed.

"Listen short stuff, my job is to escort you Not be one of your slaves." I Back fired at him.

"Oh no a beauty like you would not be one of my maids but one of my wives."

"Wives?" I repeated outloud.

There is no way a boy like this has more than one wife, in fact even one wife.

Suddenly a ninja jumped out of the bushes. His headband was hidden so I couldn't tell from what village.

"Get behind me!" I yelled. He did as I said.

I didn't take out my katanas because there was not a strong chakra source floating from him.

He charged me and swung at me with his kunai but I dodged. I quickly front flipped over his head and punched the back of his head to the ground. I used my special jutsu to tie him up with invisible chakra chains.

"Wow!! Your so strong my lady!" I heard from behind me.

I just sighed and continued walking.

-time skip-

We finally arrived at the palace and I was amazed. It was so beautiful and big. I walked him in to the queen and she thanked me and gave me my mission earnings.

"Hey y/n one last thing" the queen said.

I turned around.

"Will you take my sons hand in marriage? You are a beautiful young lady." She asked.

"Ermm, sorry mam but I'm only 16." I said while scratching the back of my head awkwardly.

They Duo looked dumbfounded. I took the chance to flee.

I found a nearby hotel and relaxed.

"Ugh men are so hard to deal with." I said while slipping into my bed.

Sigh

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

-the next morning-

I woke up and continued my journey. I grabbed my bags and holstered my katanas and headed out.

My tummy started grumbling. I needed breakfast before I could continue. I decided to stop at the nearest dango stand and buy some food.

While I was waiting I noticed something. Two akatsuki members.

Shit.

It was the blonde and the hyper masked one. I quickly grabbed my hidden leaf cloak and put it on. I put my hood up as soon as they looked over at me.

"Here's your dango mam." The man said to me.

I Said "thank you" in a manly tone of voice so they didn't recognize me.

I quickly sprinted off as soon as I received my meal and was cautious for the first few hours of my travels. I covered my chakra scent and trails and jumped in trees so I didn't leave any footprints.

I finally slowed down when I was getting close to konoha.

"Phew" I Said while pulling out my dango sticks and eating them.

I likes these very much. They reminded me of Sasukes dango.

I finished and folded the bag up and started jumping through trees again. But I picked up that masked man's scent.

Shit.

I stopped and looked around. Nothing.

But suddenly he was infront of me. He quickly grabbed my throat and put me in the air chocking me.

"You remind me so much of ren..." he said while I was struggling for air.

"I'll be back for you some day." He said coldly before disappearing.

"DAMN IT!!" I yelled when I fell down.

I grabbed my throat to try to ease the pain but it didn't work.

'Who the hell is ren?' I questioned mentally while sprinting as fast as I could.

I saw the gate to the village and stopped. The guards let me in and I sprinted to the hokages office.

I didn't knock I bursted in.

"Lady hokage!!" I shouted.

She sat up quickly.

"On my way back from my mission I encountered akatsuki members twice! And one was close to the leaf gate!" I said

"Did they say anything to you?"

"Yes the masked man said he reminded me of someone named ren and he would be back for me!" I yelled.

She called in guards and sent the anbu team to guard the outside territory of the village.

"Y/n since you where threatened like that by an S ranked criminal we will put you in a different apartment complex with better security." She said.
