PETE'S POV

"Goodnight baby sleep tight" then I kissed Venice on his forehead.

I thought his going to sleep instantly but he questioned me with something that shake my whole body.

"Papa, do I have a daddy like Minmin?" he is referring to Yoonmin the son of Jimin and Yoongi.

It never crossed my mind that he is going to ask me that kind of question.

And I don't know how to answer him. Why does he need to remind me of him now?

He is just four years old, and why is he asking me those kinds of questions?

He is staring at me waiting for my answer.

"Your daddy is working somewhere else baby" I wanna slap my face at that moment when I realized what I just answered him.

"So when can I meet him?" he questioned me again.

Oh fuck my life I said to myself. How am I going to explain to him now? And how to get out of this conversation.

Sorry baby but you don't need to know him my mind said.

My anxiety kicks in.

And I can't think properly anymore.

"Baby it's already late, you have to sleep so you will grow taller and stronger," I said and put his cover on.

That's the only way to get out of this situation.

Then he closed his eyes.

I wanted to forget about him, but with Venice growing, I can't.

Cause Venice looks like him, especially his eyes. The only thing he got from me is my dimple.

Then someone knocks at the door, it's a good thing that Venice already falls asleep.

Jimin came into my view when I open the door.

"They wanted to talk to you," he said smiling.

There are so many things in my mind now because of what he said.

Are they going to throw us away? I questioned myself but I voice it out loud.

"No idiot" then he laughs at me.

Then we went to the rest of them.

I'm relieved about what Jimin told me earlier but anxiety washed over me again.

Because here we are in their private meeting room.

We only come here if there is a serious or important matter to discuss.

"Have a sit" Namjoon said when he saw us.

I hate it when I saw them being dead serious like this it's suffocating and scary.

"Okie now can we start?" Jin started.

Then I saw Yoongi gesture V something.

"For you," he said and give me the envelope.

Not just a normal envelope but it's an invitation card.

I'm so hesitant to open it, but I just did it.

What the hell my mind shouted after reading the place.

"I want you to come with us," J-hope said.

I wanted to ask them why, but today my mouth is not cooperating at all.

"Okie" I answered

"Don't worry Pete, everything is under control. We are not gonna leave you there if you're thinking of that" JK explained reassuring me.

"And besides your baby is here, we are happy to adopt him if you leave him here though," Yoongi said while smirking but was interrupted by a loud smack from Jimin.

"Don't say that you stupid" Jimin said while glaring at him.

"I just want to lighten the mood"

"Can you two stop, You can continue bickering outside later" Namjoon said in an authoritative voice.

"There are reasons why we are asking you to go. Number 1. You know the country itself. 2. Some of us can't go because of important matters. 3. I want you to go back there to think. We are not pushing you away Pete, but I know, that time will come, Venice is going to question you about everything. And I want you to plan for it now. He is not getting younger anymore and you know that as well."

I just stayed silent, because I don't know how to answer him.

"The decision is yours, Pete, we are not going to intervene whatever it is." he continued.

He is right though, I need to plan for ourselves too.

Not because they helped us from the start it doesn't mean we will always put our hopes in them forever.

"Don't worry Jimin and Jin is here to take care of Venice. And for you, Jhope and V will take care of it."

"Does Tey knows about this?"

"I've already informed him, about you going. And he is so excited to see you"

"But how about me..."

"Your worrying too much Pete, just relax for now. The real deal is when we get there. So be ready" then he shows me his genuine smile.

"Are we done?" Jin asked feeling bored.

"Meeting adjourned"
