"Are you sure he can find a place where no one you know will go to?" Sarah asked for the hundredth time.

"Well, he said he was sure, and I believe him," I replied for the same number of times.

"If you say so..." Sarah still sounded as unconvinced as I felt about this whole thing. "But maybe you guys should come up with a credible excuse beforehand, just in case you bump into someone at the restaurant," she suggested wisely.

I agreed with her. But what plausible situation could explain a sister and brother going out to eat dinner at a, probably fancy, restaurant? I had absolutely no idea. "Do you know any good reason if that happens?" I asked Sarah as we made our way to the cafeteria.

She thought about it for a while, and kept on thinking about it as we paid for our food. "I have absolutely no idea," she finally stated, making me frown as we reached the table and sat down.

I guessed I would have to ponder on this later. I still had time. We hadn't set a date for the... date yet. In fact, we hadn't been able to have much alone time during the weekend at all. Isaac had promised to hang out with Luke the whole Saturday, and on Sunday mom and dad always seemed to be around, like they knew something weird would happen if they weren't. At least we'd had the nights together. Isaac had sneaked into my bedroom both nights as soon as mom and dad had gone to bed. And let me tell you, heavy make-out sessions had occurred during those hours. But nothing more. And before we knew it, it was Monday again.

Looking around, I noticed Isaac wasn't sitting at the table yet. That was unusual. He was always so hungry during lunch hour that everyone considered it an abnormality if he wasn't the first person in the cafeteria when the bell rang for lunch, save for the lunch ladies. Well, actually, sometimes he was there even before them...

However, Justin was there, and thanks to Sarah I had to sit next to him, if I didn't want to sit next to the fake girls, that is. Yeah sure, they were nice to me and all, but like I mentioned before, it was only in hope to get closer to Isaac. And let's just say I didn't want to hear them chat about how sexy he was, who had slept with him, so on and so forth.

"Hi Audrina, how's everything?" Justin asked as soon as I had begun eating my food.

His question annoyed me, but being the nice girl I was, I gave him a curt smile. "Fine thanks, you?"

"Oh just chillin', like always," he said, winking cheekily.

Couldn't he just... like... stop flirting with me? He already knew he would get in trouble with my brother if he kept flirting with me, so why bother? I wasn't that good looking. At least not according to myself.

"So how about that date –" Justin began, but he was interrupted by loud noises that came from a couple of people who just entered the cafeteria.

I didn't have to look their way to know it was the rest of the guys from our group. But I looked anyway, in hope to spot the love of my life. I saw him alright, just not the way I had wanted to. Walking way too close to him was Lauren, talking to him and chatting away happily. It didn't bother me that other girls tried to approach him, that was something which occurred so often I had gotten used to it. What bothered me, though, was if Isaac showed them any interest in return. Like he did right now, laughing at something Lauren said. My stomach clenched painfully when she put her arm around his waist.

When Isaac finally looked at our table, our eyes locked. He gave me a little smile, but I kept my face emotionless, not wanting him to see the pain I felt. I knew I was probably exaggerating, but that didn't mean it still didn't hurt, because it did. Every time he talked to another girl and seemed to enjoy her presence; every time he smiled at another girl or just simply paid another girl too much attention, it hurt.
