When we'd both made sure the was no mascara running down our faces, Sarah and I headed downstairs to join the guys. I was still kind of nervous about this morning, if any of the guys actually had noticed something or not. Justin's face reappeared on my retina.

Don't be stupid Audie, of course he doesn't know anything! How could he possibly guess that scenario? A brother and a sister, secretly in love! Although that was the very case here, it was extremely unlikely that he, anyone actually, would guess for that to be the case.

As I reached the bottom step, I took a deep breath, remembering what Isaac and I had talked about earlier today, while we cleaned the house. "Just act normal, and if anyone is suspicious, we'll show them otherwise," had been Isaac's calm reply.

The loud burp that suddenly echoed in the living room just as Sarah and I entered, followed by laughter from the guys, reassured me further. Wrinkling my nose while looking at the boys goofing around, I realized cavemen were probably smarter than this bunch.

"Mine was much louder than that!" Luke exclaimed triumphantly, mocking Justin.

"Yeah, well, give me another try and –" Justin began, defending what I assumed was his honor, however this could be something to be proud of.

"Guys, guys!" Mike interrupted and started poking a laughing Isaac.

The guys turned around and finally noticed Sarah and me standing in the doorway.

"Oh, hi," Justin said sheepishly, scratching the back of his head, clearly embarrassed.

"Heeey," Sarah and I said in unison. She was probably also reconsidering our choice to join them for a movie.

"We were just, uh, just..." Luke tried to explain, his face growing a shade darker.

Isaac and Mike just laughed harder.

"So, what are we watching," Sarah interrupted, clapping her hands together and thereby ending their lame attempts of explaining.

I didn't really listen to their reply. Instead, I carefully studied the guys, trying to detect any sort of suspicion in their eyes. So far, I could detect none. They all went to take seats in the sitting arrangements we had in our living room.

I was about to join them when a certain smell reached my nostrils. I made a U-turn and went to a window. "Let me just open this first," I mumbled.

Mike and Isaac shared a look and then doubled over with laughter, while Luke and Justin quickly fled with their eyes to the floor.

I had a hard time to focus on the movie at first, but the further the evening went, the more relaxed I became. It even started to feel like the good old times. Just a group of friends having a good time and enjoying each other's company. Things even seemed to have calmed down between Isaac and Justin. Even though Justin still made me nervous, him and Isaac were back to normal when it came to joking around and messing with each other. It made me happy to see Isaac this happy, to be spending time with his friends. Not having to worry about us and where we stood, like we did most of the time.

As the evening passed and Sarah and the guys left, all my nerves had dispersed. What could I say, it had been a success.

Closing the door behind them, Isaac turned to me with a huge grin on his face. "See, I told you, nothing to worry about."

I smiled at his wolfish grin as he slowly approached me. "You were right," I ruefully admitted.

Isaac stopped in his tracks, an expression of mocked shock crossing his features. "Come again?"
