BENJAMÍN HAD ALWAYS had a temper, especially when it came to someone messing with him or his business. But his temper was a whole other level when it came to people messing with his family. He had never felt this angry until now, someone messing with his fiancé, his child, and the mother of his child on his property made his blood boil. The thought of those men having their hands around Estella made him want to throw things. He was out for revenge, and he was pissed off, but mostly was concerned for Estella.
He knew that lately that things hadn't been well, so this being added to the list of the bad things happening made him scared that she might run off.
"They want to destroy me! Not just our business, Enedina they have my fucking family now! They're stooping that low, so can you imagine what they could do next?" Benjamín stood up in a panic as he was currently on the phone with Enedina. Enedina on the other end was indeed anxious about the entire ordeal, knowing what had happened but tried to stay calm.
"The lawyers spoke to Estella. Estella says she's fine, your daughter is fine, and Ruth too. They're all fine." Enedina tried her best to remain relaxed despite her brother's angered tone and obvious uncertainty. However, Benjamín was beyond furious and couldn't even describe the level of outrage he was feeling right now. They had no right to be touching his family or messing with them.
"They laid their fucking hands on my fiancé!-" Benjamín's voice cracked as all he could do was think about Estella and his daughter. He teared up knowing that he couldn't ever lose them or see them hurt in any way.
"Benjamín, Estella is fine. The lawyers ensured it, the important thing is that you're safe and they are too." Enedina continued trying to make her brother realize that nothing horrible had happened to Estella.
"For how long?" Benjamín sighed, thinking about the possible violent future ahead of them.
"We hold on, Benjamín, that's all we can do. For as long as we can." Enedina tried her best to assure Benjamín. He sighed, trying to calm his nerves down.
"You were right. About staying on the move. You've always been right." Benjamín muttered, realizing that truly his sister was the brains of this family and buisness. Enedina was the smart one, and he had been an idiot all along for not appreciating that.
"I'll call when I hear from the lawyers...maybe you should call Estella. She's probably shocked by the ordeal and most likely just wants to hear your voice right now. Maybe it will help." Enedina advised Benjamín as he sighed for what seemed like the 10th time, but thanked her and hung up.
He leaned against a nearby wall staring down at the phone, wondering if he should listen to Enedina. He really missed Estella. He missed everything about her, he was scared that if he was caught, he would never wake up to see those brown eyes again. And if he died from this life that he would leave Estella broken even though he had promised her a fulfilled life of happiness and love.
