CHAPTER NINE
"Hey Grason."
"Yes, Joey."
"If Sita fell down here right after she passed out... Do you think that she's gonna be okay walking around here? I mean, you can barely see you're in front of you."
"No, I don't-" But Grason couldn't finish his answer because Naoir interrupted him.
"Well of course! She's drinking a Pepsi and walking around without a care in the world. What do you think, Joey?"
"I didn't ask you, Naoir." Joey said as his eyebrows lowered. "I asked Grason."
"Well, Grason was going to say no so I decided to make the answer sound more fun since we are down here looking for a girl that recklessly fell into a tunnel and could die at any given moment."
"Naoir!" Grason gave him a sharp look.
"I'm just stating the obvious. I mean, look at what she's done so far. Pass out, wake up, pass out again after getting kicked in the gut. Though I can understand why she passed out after getting kicked by Reva. But-"
"Naoir. Enough." Grason said. "It is understandable that Miss Sita would faint. Because she just got kidnapped by us, three boys of whom she knows nothing about. And is brought into a world that she knows nothing about. I for one, would be pretty overwhelmed at that point because I wouldn't know what's going on. It's amazing that she can even walk right now." Grason crossed his arms.
"If she is walking." Naoir added. Grason's head lowered.
"Naoir. Really." Joey said. "You just have to make everything negative in some way don't you... Look, Grason is sad now."
"I'm just naming possibility's of what could happen. It's not like I try to make everything sound negative- WOAH!" Naoir suddenly lost his footing and slid across the floor to a dip in the stone. "What in the name of..."
...
Silence.
"Naoir what's wrong?" Grason asked. "Where are y– AH!
Grason slipped on the floor as well and since Joey had been with Grason trying to get him out of his saddened state, well... The obvious happens.
"GAH! DON'T DRAG ME WITH YOU!" Joey shouted as his foot fell out from under him because Grason grabbed his ankle mistaking it for a rocky handhold.
All of them had now fallen into a gap in the rock.
"Dude, why did you grab my ankle?" Joey asked.
"I'm sorry but, I can barely see in front of me and I thought that I saw a rock and-" And as Grason was frantically trying to apologize, Naoir stood up slowly.
"Guys."
"I thought you're ankle was a rock so I grabbed it, but it turned out it wasn't a rock..." Grason kicked his heel but that caused him to slip a little bit almost losing his footing.
"But how could you even mistake a human leg for a rock? A rock is usually shaped like a rock not like a human."
"Guys."
"I'm sorry Joey." Grason said guiltily.
"You better be. Because now that I have fallen down here with you guys, there is probably no way to get back up." Joey crossed his arms.
"Guys!" Naoir whispered loudly.
"What?" Joey said helping Grason balance himself.
"I think we're in trouble..." Naoir said, his back turned away from the both of them.
"What do you mean?" Grason asked as he got control of his feet.
"Naoir," Joey looked at him. "What do you mean by we're in trouble...?"
"I mean that we are in trouble because we're in a grays nest."
______________________________________
Man, when is this tunnel gonna end? Sita thought to herself as she walked through the blackness that followed her every move.
I can't even see anything.
She stopped. and stood there for a minute.
Wait...
She put her hands in front of her face. What...
I can see my hands... Why?
It was like there was a light shining on her but there was no lamp or bulb above her, no light source at all. It was like she, herself was glowing.
No way... Was what he said true?!"She had this blue illumination around her that even I can't figure out... Is she part jellyfish?" PART JELLYFISH- No wait he said something about a "Nayam"... And I still don't know what a Nayam is.
So does that mean I glow?! Or do Nayams glow?
As Sita had a conversation with herself while looking at her glowing hands, she heard behind her what sounded like a shout of some sort. then as Sita turned around to check how close that shout was, she heard footsteps racing toward her at amazing speed.
"What-" She started to say, but her wrist was grabbed by a hand of a being she couldn't see.
What the?!
As this mystery person and it's two companions who magically appeared right after they turned a corner, ran for they're lives. Sita looks at one of them and says, "You better have a good reason for dragging me along with you guys."
"Oh I'm sorry, would you like to go back and get eaten alive? Because I would gladly let go of you're wrist to do so." An annoying voice came from the person holding Sita's wrist.
That voice... Don't tell me.
"Naoir, don't say that to Miss Sita! She's going to think that you're serious!" Grason said as they ran from the thing behind them. "Joey please tell Naoir not to do this to Miss Sita anymore."
Oh, so all of them are here.
Joy.
"Well I would, but it's not like he would listen to me anyway..." Joey said glaring daggers at Naoir's back as he ran right behind him.
"Hey um, can I ask you something?" Sita said.
"You just did." Naoir snickered.
"Other than that..." Sita groaned in frustration. "What are we running from?"
"Okay Miss Sita, please, don't freak out because of what I'm about to tell you." Grason said glancing at her from over his shoulder.
"I can't make any promises." Sita said, out of breath.
"I see... Well, I'm going to tell you anyway because you deserve to know what we are being chased by. Um, how do I put this..." Grason thought for a moment "Well, to put it bluntly..." He looked at her. "We're being chased by a gray."
"Wha-"
WHAAATT?!
