Minji aimed at the target on the wall with deep concentration as she held the small knife in her hand.
She took a deep breath before letting go of the knife as she threw it forward with great force making it hit the target directly.

"Did you see that? I'm getting better!"

Minji cheered as she turned around to look at the boy who was eyeing her with a deep frown.
Jungwon had been training the girl for a few weeks now and seeing her quickly growing progress made him wonder if she was ready.

She was a natural.
Her aim was perfect, they boy hadn't seen her miss a single target which intimitated him while also making him admire her even more.
A part of Jungwon was scared.
He was scared of taking the girl on an actual mission as he couldn't guarantee if she could be as focused and fearless as she had showed to be while training.
He was scared the girl would get hurt or in the worst case killed.
He was starting to regret his decision of training her.

Minji had a choice that Jungwon never had.
Jungwon was forced to to train as his parents were no longer there to raise him as a normal kid.
Instead he was raised by Uncle, a man the boy had never really gotten to know properly until he too was killed a few years after he began training him.
Uncle was a mysterious man.
Jungwon didn't know anything but the fact that Uncle knew his father, which was enough for him to trust the man.

Jungwon felt like everyone around him faced a deadly fate.
He blamed himself for his parents' death.
His greatest regret was not helping them as they were fighting for their lives while all he did was stand there.
He couldn't help but blame himself for Uncle's death too.
The man got killed only a few years after he took the boy under his care.
For that reason, Jungwon was scared for the girl.
He was scared for Minji to suffer like everyone the boy had ever cared for.

"I'm going on a mission. You should stay-"

Jungwon managed to say before he was interrupted by the girl's determined voice as she made her way to grab her weapons.

"I'm coming with you! I'm tired of staying here while you get to have fun"

Jungwon exhaled loudly as he wasn't in the mood to bicker with the girl.
He knew she was well capable and brave enough to take the challenge but he felt great responsibility over her.
He wouldn't let her get hurt.

"Fine, but you're not using a gun. You'll only be my helping hand"

Minji's expression dropped as she stared at the boy in disbelief while he stared back at her with raised eyebrows.

"Or you could just stay-"

Jungwon was interrupted by the girl's loud groan before she huffed out in irritation while stomping past him to gather her equipment, leaving her gun behind.

"Let me at least take my knives..."

Minji looked at the boy with an expecting expression as he grabbed his gun while staring at the girl blankly.
He nodded his head silently causing the girl to jump in excitement as she made her way out of the door with the boy following behind as he smiled at the girl's happy reaction.

"Shh! Be careful"

Jungwon hissed at the clumsy girl behind him as they were slowly making their way towards the apartment door that was guarded by an armed man.
