I woke up in bed alone, seeing my dress, coat and purse on the end of the bed waiting neatly for me. I got dressed quickly, carrying my shoes in my hand as I descended the stairs. I heard some voices in the kitchen, finding Chase, Tyler and some other guys whose names I didn't know. My face instantly reddened as they all turned to look at me, giving Chase knowing looks and smirks. I rolled my eyes at the testosterone and brushed past them to grab a water bottle from the fridge.

"Want to stay for breakfast, Anna?" I turned to come face to face with Tyler.

"No thanks. I should get home. Lindsey is probably worried." I pulled out my phone, drowning everyone out as I wandered into the living room where it was quieter, looking at the messages on my phone.

Lindsey
Guess you stayed with Chase?
Would have been nice to know

Unknown
Have lunch with me this weekend?
Tyler btw
In case you were hoping for another random stranger to get ahold of your number

I chuckled, turning to see him smirk at me from the kitchen as Chase approached me. "I should get home and shower and change. I'm sorry."

He shrugged, "no worries. I have to work anyways. In fact I have to leave. You'll be okay?"

"I'll be fine. I'll wait for the Uber on the porch."

"I'll wait with her."

Chase turned to Tyler as he entered the living room with his hands in the pockets of his jeans. He sighed but nodded, "yeah, alright." He turned back to me, lowering his voice, "we should talk, yeah?"

I nodded, glancing momentarily at Tyler before looking back at him, "I agree."

"Okay." He leaned in to kiss my cheek before throwing a glance at Tyler. "Be nice." Tyler chuckled as Chase left the house and Tyler approached me.

"I have a car. Let me take you home?" Before I could answer he was pulling on his own coat and opening the door for me to exit ahead of him. I sighed and nodded and followed him to his car where he opened the passenger door for me. I gave him my address as we left. "Lunch?"

I sighed, "I have to work tonight and tomorrow."

"Where do you work?"

"Laundromat. Very exciting stuff."

He laughed, taking a glance at me, "well I guess I can do laundry outside the house tonight."

I watched him smile as he turned back to the road, "you don't have to come and hang out with me."

He huffed, "I won't be. I'll be doing my laundry. If I happen to come across a pretty girl in the process then all the better, yeah?"

I laughed as I shook my head, "you should tell Chase we're hanging out. I don't want to lie to him."

He nodded, "I agree." He pulled up in front of my building, bringing his car to a stop. He turned in his seat to face me, "why should it be me and not you? You're his girl."

"I'm not his girl. I'm no one's girl. But you're like brothers, right?"

He sighed, "alright. But not about last night. I'll bring it up casually tomorrow that while I drove you home you mentioned where you work and I showed up to hang out. Innocently."

I chuckled, "it is innocent, isn't it?"

He shrugged, bringing his hand up to play with the ends of my hair, "I only have intentions to talk. But if something more were to transpire, I certainly wouldn't say no."

I shook my head, "you're going to be my undoing Tyler... What's your last name?"

"Tyler Baxter." He chuckled and held his hand out to me which I accepted.

"Anna Sloane. Nice to meet you, Tyler. I should go." He didn't release my hand, pulling me to him for him to plant a kiss on my lips, keeping me still for a moment before letting go.

"See you later, princess."

I shook my head as I got out of the car. I felt his eyes on me until I entered the lobby, finding Sebastian standing in front of me, causing me to groan loudly, "what are you doing here?! You know other students live in this building, don't you?"

"Then you should take me up to your apartment so we can talk. Your roommate just left as I got here."

"I have had my meter filled with cocky assholes. I don't need another right now. I need a shower and some sleep because I have to work tonight."

He sighed, not saying anything as he pressed the button on the elevator and pulled me onto it with him. "First Chase and now Tyler Baxter?"

I rolled my eyes, pressing the number to my floor before crossing my arms over my chest, "what does it matter to you?"

He scoffed, "Chase was one thing. But Tyler? You should stay far away from him, Anna. I mean it."

"Ugh!" I stormed off the elevator as it opened, straight to my apartment. I unlocked the door and slammed the door, hearing Sebastian sigh as he entered through it a second later. "You don't get to tell me what to do Sebastian!" I tossed my coat along with my purse on the couch, "we kissed once! Get over yourself!" I pushed him as he tossed his own jacket on top of mine. I went to push him again but he grabbed my wrists, turning me quickly to push my against the door to the apartment, my hands above my head, crushing his mouth on mine.
