Zuri POV:
Hunter and I walked into a nearby Pub & Grill. We sat down and ordered . Now we are just talking about old times
"So you're trying to tell me that the last time I saw you , you were assigned on a mission" Hunter says biting into a nacho chip
"Well yes and till this day that was the hardest mission I've ever been assigned to" I say taking a sip of my caramel milkshake
"Don't you want a real drink" he smirks looking at my milkshake and back at me
"Oh god no I couldn't" I say and he just smiles
"So uhm do you like what you do"I ask moving the milkshake away
"I mean the training at first was intense but after that I just felt safe in environment with weapons " he says staring into space "-so yeah" he chuckles and I smile
"How long have you been in sector 8" I fork my pasta and he smiles thinking back
"Uhm I was recruited when I was 12 so uhm 16 years" he says and my eyes widen
"How old are you" I giggle and he chuckles
"28, you" he asked
"26" I say and his eyes widen
"And you already have kids" he says and I take his chip throwing it at him
"Shut up"I smile and he does too . Hearing my phone ring I take it out of my bag . Looking at the caller ID it says Mark
"Uhm could you excuse me"I ask Hunter and he nods . Walking away from the table I go to a quieter section. Swiping up I press the phone to my ear
"What are you doing" Mark says
"Oh wow no hello" I say and he scoffs
"Zuri what are you doing" he asked more sternly and I frowned
"I'm out"I say and I can hear him exhale
"Fuck I know that but why are you there with Hunter" he asked through clenched teeth
"After training we just wanted a quick bite lik-"
"Zuri it's 8pm now" he says . I remove the phone from my ear and yep it's 8pm
"Shit sorry we lost track of time uhm we'll come back "I say switching off the phone. Turning around I see Hunter leaning on the wall
"I didn't realize we had a curfew" he grinned and I rolled my eye's
"Well this was great but I have to go ...Duties" I say and he nods understanding
"Okay let me take my jacket" he says going back to the table
Waiting for him by the entrance we walk back out .
"Oh it's dark already" he says as we walk towards his car
"Tell me about it" I smile. He opens the door for me and I climb in. Waiting for the door to close I turn to see his still standing there
"What" I say smiling
"I kinda wish I met you before he did" he says with all seriousness
His words linger in the air for a bit and he eventually closed my door. Walking around he climb into the other side and started the car
I honestly don't know how I'm supposed to answer that so I keep quiet
In fact the car ride was quiet until we reached sector 8 . He stopped the engine and he climbed out the car. Doing the same he locked the car and we started walking towards the doors
"Wait"he says and I turn around
"I know it's stupid but I feel as soon as we walk through those doors this would be over and quite frankly I don't want it too" he says shoving his hands into his pockets
"I-"
"Zuri there you are the kids have been asking for you" Mark says and I turned around to see him by the entrance
"Uhm" turning back to Hunter I mouth and 'sorry' and he just shrugs .Running past Mark I go in through the doors
Mark POV:
Waiting for Hunter to walk past I grab his shoulder
"Look I don't know what's happening between you and Zuri but I need you too squash it" I say tightening my grip on his shoulder.
"It's up to her not me" he shrugs me off and he walks away

Zuri POV:
Walking into the kitchen I see a figure sitting in the dark . Squinting my eye's I walk closer and until it spoke
"Hey" Hunter says
"Oh it's you why are sitting in the dark" I ask and he chuckles walking over to me
"It's peaceful" he says walking past me and towards the sink to put his bowl down . He turns around and he leans his back on the counter
"Why do we keep meeting like this" he asked smiling and I chuckled opening the fridge door
"I suppose it's the only place in this facility that's normal" I say taking out a bottle of water
"I guess. Why are still up" he asked as I jumped onto the counter to sit down
"I couldn't sleep"I say opening the bottle of water and taking a sip
"Yeah same" he walks over to me and leans on the counter in front of me.
Only leaving a distance of 2 feet between us
"Can I show you something" he asked and I looked at him curiously
"Hmm can I trust you"I ask putting the bottle down. He chuckles and he looks back at me
"Yeah you can" he says walking towards the hallway. Climbing down I follow him
Mark POV:
Standing in dark I watch Zuri and Hunter walk away together. Sighing I turn around and I walk back towards my room
Sitting on my bed I stare out of my glass windows looking at the stars
Is it wrong for me to feel jealous like I guess Zuri and I have been together since Rio but was I supposed to ask her to be my girlfriend or something. To me I just thought it was an unspoken agreement but clearly it wasn't.
Now I'm going to lose her to some French recruit
