A few days after we returned to the school I received a rather curious visit.
After classes, I went to Keyaki Mall to buy a few things and as I strolled happily through the place, I received a message from the most interesting person in this school.
The message was a short, simple one.
It indicated that the person sending it wished to see me; I replied I would meet him in my room in half an hour if he was okay with that.
After what, I placed my phone back in my pocket not caring at all for a possible reply.
Thus, I began making my way to the dorms.
Things went back to normal at school. As normal as they could be.
Mikoto-chan became the figurehead of the class. Kakeru-kun remained on the side-lines. Tokitou-kun was sulking like he has been doing since the year begin. Kaneda-kun was closer to Mikoto-chan as he seemed to desire a more prominent role in the class leadership. And Hiyori-chan kept to her books.
All in all, everyone was happy with the results of the Mixed Training Camp since we would be Class C once again next month.
I walked out of the elevator and arrived at my room, only to find the person that had contacted me already there, waiting for me.
"Oh, Kiyo-kun, hello! I didn't know you were so impatient to talk with me~" I placed my hands on my back and leaned forward, a roguish smile on my face.
"Open the door, Chikujoin." He stated simply.
"Uhh... a direct order... am I in trouble, my general?" I said as I opened the door and stepped inside. "Perhaps I will be punished for something I did or~"
I placed what I bought in the kitchen and entered the living room, where I sat on my bed while Kiyo-kun grabbed a chair and sat at the other side of the table.
"Well? What is this about, Kiyo-kun?"
"I'll be blunt, Chikujoin. What are you after?"
"You're right. You're too blunt, Kiyo-kun. You should start by asking me about my day, how am I doing, that kind of things."
"Knowing you, if I engage in small talk, this conversation will never end."
"You're mean, Kiyo-kun," I protested. "Surely, your image of me isn't a bad one—Oh! But where are my manners!" I clasped. "Would you like something to drink, Kiyo-kun? Perhaps a snack as well? I just came back from the market as you saw when we entered."
"I'm fine, Chikujoin. I only want you to answer my question."
"You're question?" I tilted my head, my face, the embodiment of innocence.
"You provoked both Nao and Sakayanagi during the exam. What are you after?"
I put up a thoughtful stance, my eyes closed. "What am I after, huh? Hmm... I wonder..." I took a second to look at his face, that unreadable expression still present.
Well, it doesn't look like he'll lose patience.
I could drag this even more, but oh well.
"Isn't it obvious?" I queried. "I chose my next target!"
"And because of that, you thought it was a good idea to publicly provoke the two most prominent figures of Class A?"
"Why? It wasn't?" I laughed. "I thought it was brilliant! Did you see the look on their faces? It was hilarious. I cannot wait for the next exam—" I paused for a moment, realising something. "Thinking about it... You're in the student council, right? Wouldn't you know anything about the next special exam?"
