"I love you!" You tell Spencer as he cleans the dishes.
"Your amazing!" You tell him as he finishes talking about diseases. He flushes a dark pink at that.
"Spencer, I love that new suit, where'd you get it?" You ask as you walk out of the elevator and over to Spencer's desk.
You always complimented Doctor Spencer Reid, he was your best friend and was still getting over his prison life, so you decided to make it your goal to compliment him every day for a whole year. it was coming up on the month of July and just as you were about to compliment him.
"Will you stop?" Spencer almost shouts. You flinch and look down at your black high heels.
"Sorry-Sorry. I just thought you needed-" Spencer interrupts you.
"Yeah, well it's annoying," Spencer grumbles, walking off with his usual coffee. You nod, readjusting your dress and walking into the already busy BAU office, at least here you could blend in, make jokes, and complement each other.
"Ems! I love those boots!" You giggle, running to her and hugging her taller frame. Emily patted your back and looked down at you.
"Are you alright?" Emily whispers to you. You shake your head, burying your face deeper into her neck. She was your emotional support human. "What did Reid do?" Emily asks, her usual cheerful voice fading away.
"Am I an-annoying?" You mumbled up to her. She furrowed her brows and shook her head as fast as possible. "Sorry, I'll go sit down..." You say, leaving the hug and walking to your desk, you had to fix your makeup after that and even redo your hair, but nobody noticed.

"Talk to her," Luke groaned, flinging his pencil to Tara. Spencer continued to ignore him and read his book, flipping a page. Then another. "Man! You really are helpless without one complement," Luke laughed, and stopped bickering with Tara about who's dog is better.
"I am not," Spencer muttered.
"Are too," JJ responded, ruffling his hair, "Reminds me, where is Y/n?" JJ asked.
"Left for the day, said she does better work alone," Tara shrugged, throwing another pencil at Luke. Spencer nodded.
"She's not wanted here anyways," Spencer nods.
Truth is, that was the biggest lie he's ever told the group. A lie that he could never take back, because she was secretly watching behind him on the railings, watching Tara and Luke bicker, watching him. Truth was, she never looked back after that.
