Love is like rain; you fall slowly but fast. You don't stop until clouds go away. But what if clouds never went away and you were just stuck, happy. That's what I want.
"Y/n?" Emily waves her hand in my face, and I blink, she moves her hand and smiles, "Back from the dead?"
"Sorry," I shake my head, looking down, "Must have spaced out or something..."
"Or something?" Spencer looks up from his files, oddly amused.
"Guys," Hotch rolls his eyes, "Besides the point! Two girls are missing and a third may be at hand."
I look at my tablet and see three girls, all brunettes that disappeared last Monday. Which is strange because that was the last rainfall. I blink a few times and look at the state. Oklahoma. Never mind, it never rains in that dreaded state.
"Oklahoma is a proud state," JJ sighs rubbing her temples, "This is going to be difficult, isn't it?"
"Seriously..." I groan, "I had a trip planned for Vegas!"
"Why were you going to Vegas?" Morgan smirks beside me, I narrow my eyes at him and raise an eyebrow.
"I like to win," I shrug, lying my way out of it. The truth was that I liked to watch storms, I loved to watch storms and Oklahoma was not going to help me. I wasn't lying, but I wasn't telling the truth.
"Win what?" Morgan teases. Spencer enters the conversation, curious on why I was going to Las Vegas, his hometown.
"Money," I roll my eyes, "Things, ya know, the usual."
"Damn, must be rich if you're going to Vegas each week," Morgan says. We start to leave to pack or get ready whatever came first. I walked with the boys and talked
"No," I shake my head, hiding a giggle, "I travel a lot, Vegas was just my next stop. I wasn't expecting much, it's Las Vegas but ya know, better win something."
"Why do you Travel?" Spencer chimes in, actually interested.
"I like the fresh..." I think, "People?"
"People?" Morgan raises an eyebrow at that weird comment. I shrug and bite my lip.
"Okay, I don't know why I like to travel," I lie, "I guess I like the meeting new people."
"Really?" Emily asks from the desks, below us, "I always imagined you to be heavily trusted but never able to trust."
Morgan gives Emily a face and grabs his gun from his desk drawer as do I. "You can't talk, and I never said trusted," I respond after a bit of quiet. Emily nods in understanding, grabbing her go bag from under her desk.
We head to the plane after that, I could feel eyes on me as I observed the sky. Gray clouds had formed, and rain started to trickle down. I smile at the sky and run over to Hotch. "Is this really weather to travel in?" I ask. He looks up at the sky and smiles. I frown and nod, knowing the answer already.
____
"...176," Spencer tells Hotch as I finish a chapter of my book. Hotch nods and continues to read.
"So, if there's 176 miles of land and 2 million people..." Morgan trails off hopping one of the smarties would chime in. Spencer just smiles and continues to flip through his files. "Reid? Y/n? Anyone?"
"Oh, no, I don't have an answer," I shrug, looking at the three girls on my tablet. I look up to see Spencer shrug his shoulder and a little smirk come on his face. Morgan raises an eyebrow and looks between the both of us.
"Come on, Pretty boy, you gotta have an answer," Morgan pleads.
"352," Spencer says, casually, "That's how many people there are for suspects." Spencer smiles sarcastically.
