Chapter 16 ~ Special ~

London's P.O.V
I walked through the talk trees to find her.
"Rose!" I called out, no answer.
"Over here!" I heard a voice call from a part of the woods. I ran towards it and stopped in front of Rose.
"Why'd you want me to come here?" I really don't know the answer to that, I felt she was important. there is something... different about this girl.
"Honestly, I don't know why." she raised a brow in disbelief.
"Well, if you don't know the reason why, then maybe you just want to talk to someone." She sat on the ground, resting her back against the tree trunk and closing her eyes in the sun. that seems about right, I do feel like talking to someone, someone besides my sister.
I sat down next to Rose and relaxed against the tree.
"What's your name." I turned to look at Rose, should I give her my name? Or no?
"London." she chuckled, "London bridges?" I looked at her and she opened her eyes to realize she was correct.
"Oh." I turned back to look at the school which is black as night.
"So, why'd you try to kill me last night?" I turned to look at her and shrugged, "it's what I do." she nodded, "where do you live?" I pointed in the trees.
"Just beyond those trees." her eyes widened, does she know something?
"You're one of them..." Yep she knows.
"Thank god!" I just looked at her, she's relieved?
"What do you-" she didn't give me the time to finish.
"I thought you were part of the team." I tilted my head, what team.
"Team?" She looked back at the school for a second and then turned back to me.
"I'm not like other people, I'm special. it's hard to explain but this team wants to kill me." I nodded in understanding.
"So... you. You're... Dead?" She smiled in confusion, it's funny when people do that!
"Do I look dead?" She laughed, "you know what I mean." I chuckled and looked at the grass.
"Well, I died but it's not something I really like talking about. all that's needed to know was she pushed me." she flinched and slowly turned to look at me....
"Who." I raised a brow in confusion,"Kim Ander-"
"DONT SAY THAT NAME!" I threw my hands up in the air in surrender and she relaxed.
"What the fuck, Rose?" She shrugged, " I died once too.... she killed me! You're not the first, trust me! I thought she was my friend and she betrayed me!" She stood up in anger and before I could stop her, she threw a punch at the tree. leaves fluttered down as the whole tree violently shook. she removed her hand from the tree and left a hole about halfway through.
Wide eyed, I looked up at Rose who was pacing around in circles.
"What are you?" I hadn't realized I had said that till she was knelt down beside me, I only meant to think it!
"You can't tell anyone! It will ruin everything! I just want to be normal!" I just looked at her in udder confusion.
"There's something about you... You're hiding something... tell me." She looked into my eyes and bit her lip.
"You promise not to tell?" I nodded and she sat down so we were side by side.
"I-I have a special power.... A power that I can't reveal to others." I turned to look at her, "you don't have to hide it from me." She just kept starring at the ground.
"Well...i- it sounds weird! How am I supposed to tell you this?" I raised my brow as if to say, 'seriously'. "I died and came back to life... nothing you say will surprise me." she bit her lip and breathed out.
"I can... shape shift into... animals..." well, that is weird but it doesn't surprise me. I turned to look at her and with a smirk, "show me." She chuckled and looked up at me with a grin.
In a moment she was a little furry dog, she crawled into my lap and laid there. I smiled down at her and she looked up at me.
"Okay, that's pretty cool!" And just like that, she was back.
The awkward thing was... she just happened to end up sitting in my lap.
"You're an interesting girl." she smiled, "you're an interesting guy." The sun was going down and I should probably be getting home soon.
"I should be getting home now, the others will be wondering where I am." she nodded and stood up giving me the ability to stand up myself.
"You promise you'll come and see me again?" I nodded, "how's about I come and see you... Thursday?" She smiled, "sounds good."
(Today in da book is Tuesday)
"Okay, bye!" I waved goodbye and ran in the direction of the mansion.
As I ran I felt something clash into my side and knock me off my balance. I screamed and hit the ground, landing on a rock.
"Ah, fuck." I moaned, "what the hell?" I heard the voice of the person who just collided into me. I turned to see Rebekah and her eyes widened when they landed on me.
"What the fuck are you doing out here?" She rolled her eyes and out her hand to her head,"I could say the same for you."
"I was just- um - looking around..." she narrowed her eyes in disbelief and sighed, "London, for goodness sakes. We're twins, can't we be honest with each other?" I narrowed my eyes and glared at her.
"I don't know, can we?" She flinched back in anger,"what the hell is that supposed to mean?" I rolled my eyes.
"You told me to be honest when you aren't being honest yourself."
"You don't believe me?" I shook my head, "no, I don't. I've lived with you for fifteen years Bekah, I know when you're lying." her head fell down and she looked at the ground below, "I'm sorry London. you know I don't want to lie, but I have to. I can't tell anyone where I've been, I can't tell them what I've been doing, and I can't tell them who I've been with." I nodded in understanding, I couldn't let anyone find out about Rose, I don't know how she would react!
Although, she might not mind me telling Bekah. I shook my head, I won't tell anyone.
"I understand Bek. I can't tell you where I've been either so let's just not ask anymore questions." She nodded in agreement and hugged me.
"I haven't talked to you all day! This doesn't usually happen." I nodded even though she couldn't see me, "yeah, everyone back at the mansion is going to be wondering where we have been all day." she shrugged.
"They won't care. when have they ever asked up where we have been?" That's true. They don't get up in your business and that's one thing I like about this place.
"We should get back home." she nodded and we stood up and walked home.

Sup! I just finished the chapter and I don't feel like writing much more tonight because I am SO ready to sleep!! 😴😴 so you guys won't have to read much of this.
