Songs - Perfect places by Lorde
Belly and I snuck out of the house and walked for what felt like million years. We heard Cardi B's Up playing loudly over the speaker and the crowd's chatters from a little distance.
"Fire." I point at the one burning at a little distance. "Bonfire." Belly squeals. "Bonfire," I say when another phone call from Simon interrupts me. "Belly, could you wait a minute, I really need to take this. Wait here, don't go anywhere." I point.
I answer the call, "Where the fuck are you Georgy?" Simon asks when he sees the dark surrounding. "Why do you care? I'm at a Bonfire." I shout into the small screen. "Who's with you?"
"What?"
"Who's there with you?" he questions. "I don't know, the boys and Isabel," I answer throwing my hands up. "You're lying." He says. "Ugh!! no, I'm not, Belly is literally here, come here Belly, say hi to Simon." I wave her over. She walks over awkwardly and says hi.
"Believe me now?" I take the phone back to myself. "Yeah. Georgy, I'm just worried about you." He speaks softly. "Why?" I ask shrugging. "Because you are my girlfriend." He states the obvious. I wave to Belly to go ahead and she does. "Am I? Cause a moment ago you were not even telling me what work you were busy doing. You know what Simon. I want an out. I want a break." I say sadly.
"Georgy you can't break up with me," Simon says. "No no Simon, this back and forth it's tiring me. We fought over stupid stuff, Simon. I can't do this anymore." I say as a single tear falls down my face. "Let's talk about this later," Simon says after a moment of silence. "What?" I say as hot tears gush down my face. "We'll talk later, you are clearly out of your mind." He says before disconnecting my call.
Calm down Peach. Calm the fuck down. I walk towards the beach and saw a guy talking to Belly, he was offering her a drink. I walk straight through them, snatching the beer bottle and pulling Belly away. "Make good choices Belly." I smile at her. "Steven." She calls out to him as he walks by with another girl. I eye her before walking over to steven and kissing him. "Georgia." Belly pulls me away.
Steven stood there dumbstruck. "What the fuck." The girl next to him says, with an accent. "What are you two doing here? and excuse me but what are you two wearing?" He turns to look at Belly, avoiding eye contact with me.
"Jesus Christ Belly come on." He pulls her. I rush after them towards the bonfire. They both start bickering over who was embarrassing the other more. Steven shoves her a little, resulting in a Belly fall. "Woah, steven. Fucking hell man." I rush to her side. "Are you ok?" He asks. I look up to the people at whose feet Belly had just fallen. I helped her up before turning to them.
"Didn't you hate Red Sox?" I point to the girl next to him. Belly was now fully aware of the surroundings and saw the guy she loved so much kissing another girl.
"Who are you?" The girl questioned. "Bitch who are you?" I stepped forward. Belly held me back.
"Nicole. Conrad and I went to the deb ball together last summer." Nicole speaks. "I thought you said that Deb balls are bullshit and that all debs are sheep." Isabel fires up. "I didn't-" Conrad stops.
"You're such a brat." He calls out to Isabel. "Connie, you are such an asshole." I step between them. "Peach, go home before Joe finds you here," Conrad warns me. "Before Joe finds who here?" I hear my brother's voice from behind. I turn to face him.
"What are you doing here? What are you wearing, that is not a 17-year-old appropriate dress. Get in the car Georgia." Joe says as soon as he sees me. "I'm 18 and No." I spit. "Get in the car Georgia. Don't make me force you." He steps closer. I take a dominating step, "You wouldn't." A crowd had grown around us.
