Song- Tornado warning by Sabrina Carpenter

Jeremiah, Joe, Isabel and I were standing at the bus stop. "20 bucks. She calls you Jeremy and calls you Gia again."Belly pokes her elbow. "I don't- I think she learned from the last time." Jeremiah tries to reason. "You think? that's how she flirts with you." Belly makes fun of him. "Ugh, fuck my life, why is this bus taking so long to open up," I mutter loudly.

"You cool?" Jeremiah asks.

"Do I look cool?" I turn to face him. "You look hot. Very hot let me add." Jeremiah smirks. "Don't flirt with my sister dude." Joe hits him in the back of his head.

"Yeah, my boyfriend is about to get off that bus, maybe tone down the flirty personality. Don't you dare flirt with that Taylor, I'm telling you. I'll rip that beautiful little head of yours." I whisper that last part. "Jealous?" He raises his eyebrow.

I ignore his words as the door opens and out walks my beautiful boyfriend in a steam-pressed shirt, that should have been wrinkled but isn't. How is his shirt crease-free? How does he do that? I smile looking at him. He stood at the entrance hands wide open for me to hug him. I hesitate but step forward but he was pushed ahead by the girl behind him. "Excuse me, get out of the way." She says making her way to Belly.

"Wow, Hey." I pulled him aside. I grabbed him and hugged him tightly. Still no crease, what fabric is that? "You look beautiful." Simon smiles down at me. "Wow, that's a first," I mutter under my breath. "I missed you." I kiss him on the lips. He holds my head steady and kisses me some more. "Well, I missed you too." He smiled against my lips. "Oh my god, I still can't believe you are here," I say jumping like a small child, my fist closed, pressing my face down.

"Well won't you introduce me to everybody?" He asks. I grab his bag and lead him toward everyone, "Sir, how are you?" He extends his hand toward Joe. "Just call me Joe, dude. Sir still sounds really weird." Joe shakes his brisk handshake.

"Jeremiah." I point at the dirty blonde mess. "Pleasure meeting you." Jeremiah pulls him in a very tight hug, I bet if the circumstances were that this was not my birthday, he would have choked him to death. "Quiet a hugger." Simon takes a step away from him.

"Isabel." I point to the next person. "Well, those facetime did not do you justice. Nice to finally say hi in person." She waves.

"That's Belly's best friend." I look at her annoyed. "Taylor." She goes in for a cheek to cheek but Simon pushes her back and shakes her hand. I smiled at the rejected Taylor.

"Gia, happy birthday." She comes in to hug me. "Thanks, Taylor," I said patting her back.

"Shall we go home?" Jeremiah asks. "Yes please, I'm really tired. The bus was kinda noisy." Simon speaks, stretching. "Actually can we make a stop first?" Taylor looks at Belly and they both smile.

Next thing we know the six of us are sitting at an ice cream shop where Taylor and Belly share a banana split, Simon opts for a mint chocolate chip to share with me while Joe and Jeremiah sit and stare.

"I would literally eat this every day if I could. " Taylor points the spoon at the ice cream. "Me too." Belly moans.

"Ok, here open your present." Taylor hands her a bag. Belly excitedly digs through and pulls out a purple bikini. Jeremiah chuckles at the gift. "I thought it would look so hot on you." Taylor put a spoonful of ice cream in her mouth.

"That reminds me of your present. Could you hand me my bag, Georgy?" Simon taps gently on my shoulder. "You got me a gift? You didn't have to." I smile handing him his bag. He pulled out a small box. More jewellery yeah. I die a little inside.

He hands me the box and I wait for him to place his bag aside before I opened it. When I did, my eyes practically fell out of the socket. "Oh my-" Belly gasped. Taylor leaned in to look at the gift.

"Well, my mom handed me this before I came here. My grandma, my dad's mum gave this ring to Mom when they got married. It's a family heirloom. So when I told my mom, I was visiting you here for your birthday, she gave this to me and told me to give it to you as a gift." He smiled looking me up. "Simon..." I was lost for words. "I can't take this," I add. "Why do you not like it?" He questions. "No... no Simon. No, it's the most beautiful ring I will ever see in my life but this is your family heirloom. We've only been dating for 10 months, this is insane. I can't... but this is so beautiful.... ugh... Oh my god. Simon this is so fucking beautiful. I can't take it and it's so beautiful. oh." I conflict with my own words.

"Mom said you can have it, which means it's yours." Simon smiles taking my face in his. "I -" He cuts me off by kissing me. "Wow." I look at Joe and show him the ring. "That looks very rich." Taylor eyes the ring in the box. "Let me see," Belly asks holding her palm wide open. I give her the box and she takes out the ring, to look at it.

"Peach, a moment please?" Joe points to the far-away table. "You can not take that ring," Joe whispers urgently. "Why not? It's beautiful." I join my hands and rest my head on it. "Rings in a relationship means commitment and you don't want to commit to this guy." Joe tries to knock some sense in me.

"That ring means he is locking you down. Think of all the times he has insulted you in front of your friends and family members, now keep that in mind and carry it forward, that's what you'll be going home to every day if you accept that ring. Think about how many times he has made you cry. Carry forward, that'll be your every night routine. Do you really wanna be his depressed trophy wife?"  Joe points angrily at the table.

"Joe, calm down, he didn't ask me to marry him," I say laughing at the complete stupidity. "Yeah sure, guys just gift their 10-month-old girlfriend family heirloom rings on their birthday. Listen I know you are smart, but don't let that emerald fool you. Sarah and I have been in a relationship for almost 2 years now, I haven't once thought of proposing to her with a family heirloom." Joe argues. "That's because we don't have a family heirloom. Mom cut our family in half, it was luck that gave us so much of grandma's money. We were lucky." I hiss.

"Don't be stupid, you are only 18. you have college and life ahead, don't waste it on an emerald, don't waste it, not for a beautiful ring. Promise me. Because Georgy, you'll get a ring from a guy, who will love you like there is nothing else in the world to love and when he brings the ring, at the right time. That ring is going to be the most beautiful ring you'll ever see. Believe me." Joe holds me still by my shoulders. "Ok, you make a valid point. I'll think about it." I say shaking my head.

"Ok, we'll do this. I'll keep the ring with me for now, because I don't want to spoil my birthday. I'll give it back to him when he's leaving. I promise." I say. "Sounds like a plan. "Joe says getting back to the table. "Come on kids, let's get moving." Joe taps the table multiple times. I lean down to kiss Simon thanks. "You like the gift?" Simon slides a hand over my waist pulling me closer. "I love it," I say flaunting the ring on my finger.
