"You swore at her?" Izara questioned as she placed the roach of the joint between her parted lips, pulling the smoke back and inhaling it deeply.
Lily hummed with a feeble nod of her head, crossing her legs on the mossy bark of the veteran tree branches that extended horizontally from its trunk, ending with its fingertips grasping the soil beneath to prevent it's fall.
"If it's Ms Valentine, I wouldn't be surprised if she called your dad or worst case scenario, she reports it to Mr Bourne," Izara voiced, lamely swinging her legs as they dangled in the air of the edge of the the thick branch. She had seen that woman in full scary teacher mode a few times in the past– it wasn't the screaming down a classroom or corridor kind of scary, it was more of the silent glare of death kind that made Izara's spine shiver even when she wasn't the target of those piercing looks.
Lily gutturally huffed as the brunette passed over the stick of her stress relief, "I don't know what came over me, she was so harsh and strict the entire session and when she said that I kind of just snapped, my emotions got the better of me I guess."
"Speaking of your emotions, how are your sleep patterns?" Izara tilted her head as she spoke, she new the blondes condition had a big influence on her feelings and mental health which she had been struggling with long before they met each other.
"Same as always," Lily said with a dismissive shrug, exhaling the smoke through her mouth and nose as she spoke.
The brunette nodded and chewed her lip, "are you gonna continue your tutoring with her," she gently elbowed the melancholy blonde with a wicked smirk gracing her lips to try and lighten the mood. "I mean, that woman could literally run me over with her fancy car and I'd still thank her."
Lily rolled her eyes and stifled out a giggle, "I don't know... I'm still pissed off and I don't really think it's going to work out very well with her method of teaching."
"Lily are you fucking kidding me, have you seen that godly woman!" Izara screeched far to loudly and started giggling uncontrollably, clearly very high. "She's the literal definition of a mommy."
"Oh my God, shut up," the shorter girl leaned over and tried to push the taller one off the branch, a small blush spreading across her cheeks. Izara grasped onto the branch to keep herself steady, both of them hyper giggling like two little girls, the branch wasn't too high from the ground so even if she did fall she wouldn't hurt herself, only land flat on her bum.
The harmonious giggles died down when the blondes phone buzzed in her lap, "Shit, It's my dad."
Izara took a final few pulls before stumping it on the the branch, "he's asking where you are?"
"Yeah I need to go," they both stood up and walked down the branch that descended towards the woodland floors of witches grove, they were cautious with their steps so they wouldn't trip and fall for the hundredth time, then they hopped down from the branch onto various short wild flowers that decorated the small clearing that the lifeless, ancient tree ruled over in the centre.
With a few brief words and goodbyes the two friends parted ways through the woodland. Lily stuffed her headphones into her ears as she ambled along the the creek that ran through the area, guiding her back home.
Standing at her front door she put the key into the door and turned it, slowly opening the it to not draw attention to her entering. The blonde softly tiptoed into the house and turned around to close the door gently, biting her lip and scrunching her brows in concentration to not make to much noise.
