After learning the ancient Adamic language, I was fully set and ready to head out to Kararagi. After saying a quick goodbye to everyone in Gensokyo, I started no-clipping my store and employees to various locations on Earth to throw off Ezekiel's trail of Gensokyo. After Ezekiel got within relative range of the store, I no-clipped again and this time fully into the Backrooms. That's when I began looking for a suitable version of the Re: Zero world to go to. I had to make sure that it wasn't already occupied by an invading force. When I say "invading" I mean someone who does not belong in the world in any way, shape, or form. While this is technically a definition for reincarnated and isekai protagonists, they are an exception to the rule. What I mean is the beings like me, who don't originate from any fictional world and are either sent there by some higher power or travel there themselves. Beings who insert themselves into the plot of any world and ultimately make drastic changes to it, creating a branching off alternate version of that world. I will admit that I ultimately did that myself, whether or not it was intentional when I landed in Gensokyo. This is where the very interesting nature of the Backrooms comes in and how I fell from reality into fiction. You see, my origin is the "real world" or the three-dimensional space and the "fictional world" where we see various forms of media such as cartoons, anime, video games, etc. is the two-dimensional space. I say real and fictional in quotations as what is fake to us is real to them, so the concept of what is real and what isn't is rather interesting in regard to this. Getting back on topic, normally, it would be impossible for anyone from either dimension to interact with or enter the other. However, there are a few exceptions such as Yukari, but the Backrooms actually exists in both and is between both spaces. Think of it like it being in a two-point five-dimensional space, not fully two dimensional but not fully three dimensional either. As such, it can serve as a bridge between worlds. That is, if you can survive what's within it, or even properly navigate it.

Putting all of that aside however, I needed to find a version of that world where Subaru Natsuki had not arrived yet, preferably several months beforehand. The reason for this is because I needed time to get the game board set up. Yes, I see that world as a board, specifically a very intricate version of chess. I see the people within the board as pieces. Of course, this does not extend to my employees, as I couldn't ever bring myself to cause harm to any of them. That being said, I needed time to minimize the amount of surprise elements that can occur while the game is being played. Now you may be wondering, who is the opponent of your game? Why it's none other than the protagonist himself, Subaru. Why him, why not some other intellectual being in that world like Roswall, Echidna, or even Pandora? Well, it is because they are predictable programs. Roswall is a simp and is easily manipulated so long as you mention how it will benefit his teacher or feed into his disgusting obsession with her. Echidna is nothing more than a computer, she is half of a person, only seeing logic, information, and facts. Her inability to decipher and understand emotions is what makes her the easiest out of the three to manipulate as you don't have to worry about the unpredictable nature of emotions. Pandora, although the only one of the three to not be manipulated is not exactly a hard puzzle to solve and lacks the emotion necessary to be a decent opponent. All she wants is to invade Earth, well, Subaru's version of Earth anyways, and while being a reality bender is a powerful advantage, it only remains as such so long as nobody knows how to deal with one. Which unfortunately for her, in my life before I fell out of reality, I delved deep into the SCP mythos and well, wouldn't you have it, they have ways of dealing with reality benders which I can incorporate into dealing with her. Subaru on the other hand is an interesting case. He has the emotions necessary to give appropriate reactions to situations and the intelligence to be creative enough to develop solutions to problems thrown at him. He just needs the right motivation, and what better motivation than a secretive, evil mastermind controlling all the other, secretive masterminds passively and without their knowledge. And what is my grand plan you may ask. Well, that's a secret, but if you're smart enough, you would have picked up on the little hints given. Of course, this grand plan means that adequate set up is needed, which is why I'm looking for this specific world in the first place. While I am in the middle of finding the perfect world, Rene and Apex are showing Milk around the store and training her on what to do. Unfortunately, Milk is going to be the ultimate wild card in this equation, as I know next to nothing about her other than the small little description Yukari gave me. Other than her love of Korean foods and Sigaros, I hardly know her, which can lead to her doing something that can throw my whole plan out of control. I'd hate to have to end the game early and just nuke the universe but depending on how badly I lose control of the situation I might have to do just that.
