Her head was pounding like a stampede of buffalo. Yin gripped the sides of her head and sat down in the closest chair. It was constantly pounding against her skull as she groaned in pain.Beom had given her medication for her headache right before she left. Sadly, it hasn't kicked in yet, making her head continuously ache. She had too much trouble making it to the tattoo parlor, but she eventually made it here. Jieun wasn't coming in until later, leaving her to come by herself.
Yin heard the door creak open. She turned her head to see the figure who stood at the door. Byungho looked at the miserable Yin with worried eyes. Sliding inside, he shut the door and came next to her.
"What happened?" he asked.
"I was out with Beom and Jieun and maybe had a little too much to drink. I have this massive headache," Yin grumbled.
"Why don't you come to the back and rest for a little bit. I don't you should be seeing customers in this state." He took her head and lead her to the door. Yin skidded her feet as they walked and freehand was placed on top of her head.
Reaching his office, Yin plopped down on the couch. She whined in more pain as Byungho picked up his phone.
"How about something to eat? I'll order some delivery," he said as began to dial a nearby food joint.
Yin didn't realize the grumbling of her stomach. She was always hungry anyway, but she was starving. Hoping the food would be here soon as her mouth began to water just at the thought of the smell and taste of it.
"Aren't you going to ask why we were out drinking?" Yin asked. Most people would want to know why they would be drinking. Yin wasn't one to drink all the time, only during special occasions and she would become drunk.
Byungho only shrugged his shoulders. "Why?"
"COS:MIC was invited to join a big dance competition in a few weeks." She expected him to be excited for them, but Byungho was just tapping at his phone, hardly listening to the conversation at all. "Why can't you ever pay attention to me?"
Hearing the distress in her voice, Byungho looked at the female. "What do you mean?"
"You've been different lately. We haven't been hanging out as much and when we are together, you hardly pay any attention to me. Is it that hard to spend time with your girlfriend?"
Yin jumped to her feet and furrowed her eyebrows. She was getting sick and tired of his actions.
"We've been hanging out with each other," Byungho said, looking annoyed.
"Rarely," Yin frowned. "If we actually do, you are so focused on your phone. It is like you can't put it down for a second to spend time with your partner. Is there something on there that is more interesting than me? Are you seeing someone else?"
This thought has been running through her head. She didn't want to believe it, unable to fully process her action if it was actually true.
Byungho seemed surprised about suddenly being asked that. It was as if he had just gotten caught in his affairs. He couldn't help but also come to his feet to face Yin.
"I've been busy," he pointed his finger in her face. " Why would you ever think of something like that? Do you not trust me at all to think I've been cheating on you?"
Yin gave him a look of disbelief. She had always wanted to be close with someone in a relationship. Feeling like those should be the closest bond you should have with someone else. Yin wasn't getting the love she deserved.
Even with this conversation, Byungho sat there with his phone locked in his hand. He kept glancing down at the electronic device, not fully paying attention to the situation around them. Notifications kept appearing on his phone, but at Yin's angle, she could hardly see what was popping up.
Yin gave him a blank stare. She wanted to ask him a question. She was too scared to know the real answer, but it kept lingering in her brain and she needed to know the true answer.
"Do you still love me?" Yin couldn't meet his eyes as those words left her mouth.
"What do you mean?" Byungho came and gripped her hands, but she shook them away.
"Tell me the truth."
Byungho was at a loss for words. His mouth hung open as he tried to speak. He could only just stand there and stare at Yin.
It was all Yin needed. He was having trouble saying it then she didn't need to be with him. She took a step away from the male and locked her gaze on the floor.
"I think we should take a break from one another," Yin said, bluntly before turning to leave out the door.
She didn't give Byungho any time to say anything before the door slammed shut. From the outside, she could barely hear the male yelling out in dispersion. His fists slammed on what she assumed to be his desk.
Yin didn't wait much longer and she marched away from the office and headed straight to where Jieun was working on a customer.
She glanced at Yin, immediately knowing that something wasn't right. She didn't sign anything for her since she was with a customer, but she began to rush to finish it so she could have some time to sit and talk with the female.
As Yin waited for Jieun to finish, she began to overthink the argument. She tried to explain to herself why breaking it off was the right direction. This was going to be her time to think about the relationship and see if it would be something she would continue or end forever.
Having a break would also show Byungho's reaction. Would he get depressed over Yin not being with him or would he quickly move on to the next girl? Yin would watch his decision closely in order to come to her own final decision.
Yin couldn't agree more that they've been very distinct from one another. It has been weeks since they went on a date and the last good one they had was too long ago when they went shopping together. The few times after that Byungho couldn't stop texting on his phone. His small smiles weren't missed.
This was the breaking point for her. She couldn't drag herself through this any longer. If Byungho really wanted her back, he would have to work hard to gain her attention.
The final touches were done to the male's tattoo as wrote down all the rules to happen after receiving a tattoo. The men understood everything as they headed out for Jieun to wave him off before immediately turning all her attention onto her friend.
"Is everything alright?" Jieun signed to Yin. Seeing her distressed face started to make Yin feel bad. She shouldn't drag Jieun into all of this mess.
"Why don't I explain everything when we get back to the apartment?" Yin gave her a fake smile and went to her own area to grab all her things.
Jieun didn't want to wait but understood that Yin doesn't want to stay there anymore. The nervous looks over to Byungho's office had made it obvious that something had happened between the two.
The two gathered all their belongings and met up with each other at the front doors. Yin kept checking to make sure that Byungho wasn't around before she would step out into the front area of the parlor. She tapped her foot, hoping that Jieun would get there faster.
The female appeared right as the bell for the front door rang. The delivery man that was bringing the food that Byungho ordered for Yin was standing there with the brown sack. The smell drifted throughout the room as he asked if she ordered it.
Yin didn't care whether Byungho has ordered it for her or not, it was still food that was begging to be eaten. Her stomach was also still growling at her even more when she saw the food sitting in the bag.
Yin accepted the food and locked her arms with Jieun as the two of them walked right out of the tattoo parlor.
