Chapter 21

The sounds of heavy breathing and stomping feet filled the practice room. They were working hard on their competition dance as Yin would point out every little mistake that her eyes would catch. She wanted this to have no flaws.

"Make sure you extend your arms out fully," she told them as she demonstrated.

Hyerin wasn't in the room at the moment. She had some other business to attend to, so they began it without her and would catch her up when she would arrive.

"Your arms swing out to the left side as you lean down, almost touching the floor," Yin explained. "It moves slowly right into the next move. You'll bring it in and bounce it out before moving onto the next side."

They all copied the female's moves as she continued on with the dance once they were comfortable with the next part.

"We'll have a little solo moment here. She turned to see who was in the center at that moment. "Jieun you'll move up with a bit of sass while we'll all drop too low and stand up with her once she stops."

They performed that part to see how it would look. Yin gave them a smile and a thumbs up.

Jieun then began to sign to Yin about an idea she had. She scooted them into one line as she showed what she was thinking to the person in front of her. They would face the side as their right hand would come up onto the shoulders of the member in front of them as they would squat down.

"I like it," Yin stated. "We could then break away and maybe do something to give someone else the center."

They arranged the formation as Yeojin took the end with Yin in front of her. Jieun would still be splitting center with Chaewon with Sumi being in between her and Beom, who was on the outside.

"Now we'll only have a second to move down before we break away and form a new formation," Yin said.

They practiced moving into their formation as Yin helped with any steps that seemed awkward or they weren't sure of.

They would party as they would change formations. They would move into a diagonal line. Yin had to see who would take center now and it ended up being Yeojin would win. She was right in the middle. Jieun would move to the back of the diagonal with Yin in front of her. Sumi was in the front which left Beom and Chaewon to be in between Sumi and Yeojin.

"You three will be lowered to the ground as your legs twist in while rubbing your hands together," Yin informed. "Meanwhile, Beom and I will be up and our hands will be out to the side like you're holding a plate."

"I wonder how you come up with all of this so fast," Yeojin said. "It is also good choreography too."

"She's been dancing for years now. I'm sure she's picked up on a lot of different moves and styles," Sumi explained.

"It is like second nature for me," Yin joked.

They would start laughing as the back door opened. Hyerin came fumbling inside the room. She seemed like she wasn't at her best. She had a sad expression on her face as she inched over to the other girls.

"I have something I wanted to say," she spoke with her head down and hands behind her back. She couldn't keep still as her feets moved on the ground. Her eyes couldn't even look up to talk to the other members. She bit her lip, nervously.

They all stopped what they were doing as they moved to comfort the female. Gathering around her, they wrapped their arms around one another.

"What is it?" Beom asked.

"I wanted to let all of you know that I've thought about this for a while. I've been questioning whether or not I wanted to go through with this," Hyerin began. Her eyes sparkled with tears as she forced out the next sentence. "I'm going to leave COS:MIC."
