It was the next day, Saturday. The sun was still golden outside, beaming through the large windows in Millie's room. It was 6:30 pm and Mills and I were laying on her bed chatting before we were going to get ready for the party, which starts at 8.
"Hey, Paige said Miles is going to be at the party." Millie told me with a smile on her face.
"Why are you smiling so much?" I said laughing at her.
"Because I think you guys would be cute together. You usually have bad taste in guys so this would be a change." She said teasing.
Millie was right, I hadn't had the best track record with guys. I mean I haven't had any serious boyfriends but any of the ones I dated well weren't so great.
"Yeah maybe." I said trying to hide my smile.
"Ok help me figure out what to wear." Mills said jumping up from the bed and walking over to her closet.
The parties we go to are more chill. They usually involve a lot of people, and don't get me wrong they can get crazy, but they aren't fancy or anything.
"Which jeans?" Millie asked me as she held up two pairs which were neatly hung on two white hangers.
One was a pair of white wide leg jeans and the other were a light wash low waisted baggy jean.
"Ooo definitely the blue jeans." I replied.
She put back the white jeans and grabbed a dark blue tank top which had a lace trim at the top.
"K well what should I wear?" I asked.
"Oh I have the perfect top!" She exclaimed.
She grabbed a cream satin scarf top which had small flowers scattered across.
"It would look so pretty on you." She said excitedly.
"Okay I'll try it on." I replied.
With it I grabbed a pair of mid wash straight leg Levi's jeans.
Millie went into the bathroom and started getting out her makeup. I put on the outfit and looked in the mirror, I felt good. I couldn't help but think that I wanted to look good because Miles was there, which I hate. I hate doing things for the validation of guys or really anyone for that matter, but i couldn't stop the thought.
"Mills, come here. What do you think?" I said while turning my gaze from the full body mirror to the bathroom doorway.
"Stop. Omg Y/n I can't. You look so good." She said emphasizing the "so."
I just smiled and turned to dramatically fall back onto her bed letting out a sigh. I was already a bit tired but I knew that I'd perk up at the party.
"Is Louis here?" I asked Millie.
She turned to me while patting in some concealer under her eyes. "Um no I think he's at the skatepark."
I nodded as she turned back to her mirror.
It was now 7:50 and Millie and I had both finished getting ready and were now on our phones.
I heard the front door shut downstairs and thudding footsteps up the stairs. I walked out of Millie's room and saw Louis approaching the top of the stairwell.
"Oh hey Y/n." He said is voice slightly out of breath.
He was holding a skateboard in his left harm while he brushed back his hair with her right hand, revealing a shine of sweat on his forehead.
"You look a bit rundown." I said teasing him.
"Thanks I'm flattered." He said jokingly rolling his eyes. "Are you still going to the party?" Louis asked.
"Yeah Mills and I are gonna leave soon." I responded.
"Ok I'll see you guys there I should probably shower and change." He said with a chuckle as he brushed off his white shirt which had black streaks on it.
"Okay. Also do you know where Will is? He wasn't home when I left so I thought he was with you." I said a little confused.
"Oh yeah, I think him and Jules are hanging out. They were gonna go to the party together." He answered.
"Oh ok." I said hiding a smile and returning back to Millie's room.
"Was that Louis?" Millie asked without looking up from her phone.
"Yeah and he told me and Will and Jules are hanging out right now." I said excitedly.
"Omg no way!" She exclaimed immediately dropping her phone on her bed.
"I know! I figured he wouldn't be able to resist inviting her to the party but I didn't think they were gonna hang out before." I said surprised.
Before we left Millie and I took some photos and I decided to post one.
