Jason's pov
We were back on tour in Oklahoma. The fans were wild. My country girl stood sidestage, her hands cupping her belly in the cutest way. God she's beautiful. I don't know what I'd do without her. I break out into she's country, my mind staying on my girl. "Alright you all, I just about finished my new album. Who wants to hear a taste of it?" The fans cheer loudly. "I got this one here on midnight dare at a border town. Every time he stuck that needle in by skin, she had to look away. I had him put right here on my chest over my heart. That rose of Jericho looked so good, painted underneath her name, man it hurt like hell... But it was worth the pain!" I walked to the edge of the stage, the fans were stunned quiet. "When I'm missin' her, I pour another shot! I know it ain't the cure but right now it's all I got! She took mosta me, now all that I have left.... Is tattoos to remember, tequila to forget!" The fans erupted in some of the loudest cheers imaginable.
Miranda's pov
It's so wonderful to see him so genuinely happy. He keeps looking me while I stand sidestage. The love I saw in his eyes filled me with joy. I can't wait for us to have this baby. He's going to be such a wonderful dad. A stagehand ran over to me with a panicked expression confusing the hell out of me. "What's wrong?" "We need to get you somewhere safe. A shooter has been spotted in the crowd." My heart stops. Jason doesn't even know. He's too happy to know. "Jason!!" I scream, about to run out to tell him but someone holds me back! "They just told him through his earpiece. I looked back out there to see his expression instantly change from excitement and adrenaline. To pure horror. He dropped the mic and was about to leave when a gunshot rang out, making him freeze in fear. He looked back at the crowd, desperate and scared. When suddenly another gunshot rang out and to my complete and utter fear, Jason stumbled backwards and fell to the ground. " NOOOOO!" I scream, desperately trying to twist free. "JASON!!!!!!"
