The only thing that could have made the last 24 hours with Dream a teenyyy bit better would have been room service breakfast in bed this morning. Unfortunately, Dream and I had to settle for Sapnap banging relentlessly on our hotel door instead, but oh well.
Regardless, last night was perfect. Dream seemed so relaxed and in-the-moment, which he absolutely needed. He had been so stressed about content and work lately that I think he would have had a breakdown by now if he hadn't gone on this vacation. Even though it was cut a few days short because of the robbery at Lisa's vacation house, that somehow didn't really affect us that much.
The three of us checked out of the hotel, and I reached over to grab Dream's hand as we walked through the parking lot to find our car. Dream looked over at me as I did this, smiling at me and squeezing my hand.
Dream leaned in and gave me a small kiss, with the lingering taste of Gatorade still on his lips from the hotel vending machine drinks we had stopped to get just a few minutes previous.
"Soo, Dream promised to drive home, right?" Sapnap asked, as we got closer to the car.
"Uh, I do not remember agreeing to that at the start of the vacation." Dream scoffed, glaring at Sapnap.
"I don't have any sort of evidence, so you'll just have to take my word for it, but you did say that. On the drive here you said 'I'm driving back home, Sapnap. You drive like you don't even know what a car is'. You said that." Sapnap said, opening up the trunk of the car and starting to put everyone's things in.
Dream looked over at me, maybe hoping I'd defend him, but to be honest I also wanted Dream to drive so I could talk to Sapnap about a video idea I thought of.
"Yeah, I agree with Sap. I do remember you saying that, Dream." I chimed in, unlinking my hand from Dream's and hopping into the passenger's seat.
"Ughhh, fine. Neither of you better complain about needing to stop for any bathroom breaks, and Sapnap gets to control the music if George gets to sit with me up front. Then everything's fair between you two kids." Dream said.
Sapnap fist-pumped the air for a few seconds, clearly excited that he was getting aux. "Thank you Daddd."
"Thank you D-" I started to say, before I stopped myself. "Okay, it would be weird if I called you that."
Dream laughed, nodding his head and agreeing with me.

"So, how did she do?" I asked Drista, while petting Patches for the first time in several days.
"She did good! The only thing is...one night she kind of got locked in Sapnap's room. Only for a few hours, though! She's fine." Drista said, cautiously looking over at Dream, who was sat on the other end of the couch as her.
