*Dream's POV*

I came back home from my mom's place late that night, expecting George to already be asleep when I walked into the house, but surprisingly he was still up. He was sat downstairs in the living room, the TV in front of him paused on 'Better Call Saul'.

He was on the phone with someone as well, but he instantly hung up when he saw me walk in the door, shoving his phone underneath his thigh as he straightened his posture on the couch.

What was that all about? I wondered.

"Hi love..." I said slowly, dropping my shoes off near the front door. "You on the phone with someone?"

George opened his mouth up to speak, but it was a few seconds before any words actually came out.

"Uh, I was...I-It's a long story." George said, looking at me and offering a faint smile.

He stood up from the couch as soon as he saw me walking towards him, embracing me in a huge hug.

"I missed you..." George said, his voice inflecting a sort of sad and needy tone.

"I missed you too. Did you have fun with Sapnap today?" I replied, hugging him back and squeezing his waist affectionately.

George pulled out of the hug, rolling his eyes at what I said and sitting back down on the couch carefully.

"No, I did not have fun with Sapnap. He ate all the ice cream in the freezer!" George exclaimed, as if this was the worst offence a person could ever commit.

I chuckled, sitting down next to George on the couch.

"We'll get you more ice cream. I'm getting groceries delivered in a few days I think." I replied, leaning in to give George a soft kiss on the cheek.

He leaned into my kiss, his body language telling me he wanted another one, this time on his lips.

Our kiss ended early, with George's phone that was wedged between both of our touching thighs vibrating several times.

"You're popular tonight, George." I said, referring to his still-buzzing phone.

George looked up at me in response, then his eyes flashed back down to his phone screen.

We both spoke at the same time, our words overlapping each other.

I began to say "Are you doing anything tomorrow?", while I only heard the first few words of George's sentence "Dream, I have to tell you-"

I furrowed my eyebrows at him, gesturing that he should finish his sentence.

He shook his head at me, avoiding eye contact.

"No, you go." He said.

"Okay..." I said hesitantly. "I was just wondering if you had any plans for tomorrow?"

George's eyes softened up and his shoulders relaxed hearing my words.

"Um...no, I don't think I have anything going on. Why?" He asked.
