HUNTRESSES

Percy
Percy woke up the next morning and put on a grey hoodie and a pair of jeans, with his white-and very clearly stained-tennis shoes.

Percy walked out of Athena's temple and to a garden.

A few hours later Athena walked out of her temple wearing a simple Greek dress with her brown hair in a braid. She walked over and asked, "You ready?"

Percy nodded and got up.

He was nervous about going to the huntress's camp. Mainly because he might die.

Percy could imagine the Olympian Council saying, lol, have fun!

He sighed and followed Athena. They went down the elevator and took a cab to Yellowstone. Percy didn't understand why Athena stayed with him, but he wasn't complaining.

Athena had beautiful brown hair and tan skin. She had the same startling grey eyes as Annabeth, but Percy didn't mind, they looked much better on Athena. Athena was a goddess for sure.

Percy could imagine Aphrodite up there on Olympus doing her love magic on him and he wondered if she was doing the same to Athena.

When they arrived at the camp every bow was aimed at him.

"Let the maiden enter peacefully," Thalia threatened. Percy put his hands up in surrender. Instead of walking toward the camp, Athena walked over to Percy and kissed his cheek, causing Percy to blush- a lot.

When Athena pulled away she was too blushing.

Thalia's mouth hung open.

"You two are- what are you doing here?" Thalia asked.

"I was ord-told to 'protect' you all," Percy said. Thalia scowled. "What jerk would do that?"

Percy sighed. "If I said who your dad would get mad at me... specifically for the jerk part."

Thalia nodded. "Who are you?" She pointed at Athena.

"I must talk to Artemis," Athena said. As if on cue Artemis walked out of her tent.

"Athena, please come," Artemis gestured toward her tent. Athena nodded and followed Artemis.

As soon as they were in the tent Thalia ran over and gave Percy a bone-crushing hug.

"It's so good to see you," she said. When she let him go Percy felt as if one of his ribs cracked.

"Nice to see you too," Percy said hugging his ribs.

"Why'd my dad make you come here?" Thalia asked.

"Well, I asked him to kill me, Hera wouldn't let him," Percy said.

"What about Annabeth?"

Percy winced at the name. "We broke up."

"Why?!" Thalia exclaimed as she punched him in the gut.

Percy tried to remember how to breathe. Athena walked out and her hair was blowing in the wind.

Thalia looked at Percy, then Athena, and smirked. "Someone's got a crush!"

Percy punched her arm playfully. "No, I don't." Thalia rolled her eyes.

"Hello, Perseus," Artemis said snapping him out of his trance. Only then did Percy realize that he had been staring at Athena.

"Hi," Percy said tearing his gaze away from Athena. Thalia laughed quietly.

"What is so funny?" Artemis asked.

"Percy likes-" Percy tackled Thalia and put his hand over her mouth.

Artemis cleared her throat. "Perseus, I don't like men tackling my huntresses."

Percy stood up. "Yes, ma'am." Thalia sent a smirk his way.

Athena giggled. Everyone looked toward her.

"What's so funny?" Thalia asked.

"N-nothing," Athena stuttered.

"What is it?" Artemis asked.

"Perc-Percy's scared of you," Athena giggled. Artemis smiled.

This is going to be a long week, Percy thought.

Athena walked over to him and pinched his cheek while murmuring, "Please don't die. It would be very difficult to explain that to Camp Half-Blood." Percy blushed a furious shade of red and nodded.

She smiled and walked away.

"You fell hard," Thalia said laughing.

"What?" Percy asked snapping out of his trance-like state.

"You fell for Athena," Mia-another huntress- said.

"Hard," Thalia added. Percy groaned.

"Even if I did like her-which I don't-she wouldn't like someone so... so stupid as me."

"I think quite the opposite," Artemis said.

Percy just looked at her curiously. Artemis nodded at him. "Plenty of the female Olympians like you... more than.. a friend." Percy nodded.

"Isn't she stuck in like this vow to be a maiden forever, like you?"

Artemis took a deep breath. "Athena, Hestia, and myself were... released from our maidenhood." Percy nodded slowly, cautiously.

"Food?" Thalia asked.

"Sure, Perseus, you're going to be doing the chores while you're here."

All of the huntresses cheered and Percy groaned. He stalked off toward the kitchen tent.

When he was just about to cut the deer-though he had no idea how-when someone spoke from behind him.

"Don't you want my help? Or are you too prideful to accept help from a woman?"

Percy spun around, his stomach doing backflips, to see Athena.

"You should be the second goddess of beauty," he breathed. Athena giggled.

"While I'm flattered that you think I'm pretty, I'm sure Aphrodite would hardly like it if you gave her abilities away to other people." Athena raised her eyebrows.

"Yes ma'am."

"Do you want my help with the cooking or not?"

Percy shrugged. "Sure"

Athena whistled and Hera appeared.

"Hi, Athena." Hera looked at Percy. "Perseus." She had a look of jealousy hidden deep within her eyes.

But jealous of what?

"Percy doesn't know how to cook." Athena sent Percy a knowing look.

"Oh. My. Gods."

Uh-oh

"I have to teach you everything!" Hera squealed. Athena giggled. "Bye, Percy."

Hera helped Percy cook the deer, talking the whole time.

"There you go," Hera said. "Make sure that you get me next time." With that, she disappeared.

Percy sighed and walked out with the food.

"Since when can you cook?" Thalia asked.

"Since never," Percy said. "Hera helped me."

"I thought you hated her!" Thalia exclaimed angrily.

"Athena told her I can't cook-which is true-and she went all crazy cook on me," Percy explained.

Thalia nodded and sat down to eat.
