Gyugyu's POV

Despite feeling that he might lose his breath anytime soon, Mingyu still ran towards the building.

He had no idea how he was able to ran up to the 7th floor without stopping and not to mention, he didn't use the elevator in going upstairs. He didn't mind the pain he felt on his legs, what matters is that he would be able to take his quiz today.

He stopped for a while to catch his breath the moment he saw their room's door. Yeri's text message was true enough since the door is still opened.

"Hayyyy tangina! Mamatay na ata ako," Mingyu mumbled, heavily panting as he bent down to catch his breath.

He stood up straight and walked towards the door. As he was walking, his vision suddenly became blurry.

Mingyu just shook his head lightly. Perhaps, it was because of his sudden marathon from the library going to their building's 7th floor.

He forced himself to walk again but before he could reach the door he felt a bit dizzy and his legs felt wobbly.

Mingyu almost collapsed on the floor when someone who was standing behind him held him by the waist, steadying his posture.

"Hey! Are you alright?" someone with a very low and husky voice asked.

"Shet putangina ambango niya." Mingyu thought as he was able to sniff the man's perfume. It smelled like vanilla with a faint sandalwood scent. Sweet yet masculine due to its earthy smell at the same time.

He was wondering why he had been having a heightened sense of smell since a few days ago. Was it because of stress?

He mumbled, "Thank you... I'm alr—"

Mingyu was shocked when he faced the stranger who caught him. "What are y—you doing he...here?" he gasped, as he stammering with his words.

The stranger let go of his hold on Mingyu's waist, making the latter stumble a bit. He fixed his suit right after as he cleared his throat before speaking, "I presume you belong to this class, right?"

He was eyeing Mingyu's disheveled look from head to toe making the latter feel rather uncomfortable.

"Oo dito ang class ko." Mingyu stood properly, raising his chin up confidently. "Bakit ka andito? Nagsiseat in na ba ang mga doctor sa klase namin ngayon?"

Wonwoo rolled his eyes at him. "I don't accept latecomers." He glanced at his watch while tapping his feet lightly, "You are 20 minutes late."

"What the fuck?!" Mingyu thought. "Sa lahat pa ng magcocover kay Dr. Moon siya pa?! Bakit ang malas-malas ko ngayon?"

He continued strictly, "Hindi pwedeng babagal-bagal ang isang doctor. Paano kung nasa hospital ka na? If you are even a second late, you might not be able to save your patients. Mamatay ang pasyente dahil sa kabagalan mo."

"I'm sorry Mist—Doc. Ngayon lang naman ako na late ng ganito." Mingyu explained. "I'm just not feeling—"

His words were cut off when Wonwoo interrupted him, "Lumang palusot na 'yang ganyan. As a doctor, what I value the most is punctuality.

"Enough. Ayoko na marinig mga excuses mo. Pwede kang pumasok sa room para umattend ng lecture mamaya but I'm considering you absent and I'm not gonna allow you to take the quiz." Wonwoo answered coldly. "It's your choice kung papasok ka pa."

Wonwoo turned his back against him and entered the room, slamming the door shut.

Mingyu clenched his fists as he put his head down. He could feel tears streaming down to his cheeks. How dare that coldhearted man say that he doesn't deserve to be a doctor? Who is he to judge him?

That man didn't know how much hard work he's pouring just to achieve his dream to be a doctor. No matter how tired he feels while being a student and as a nurse, how many times he doubted himself and wanted to give up, he still continued pursuing his dreams.

He sacrificed a lot already and giving up is not an option now. All the efforts he did should not be put into waste.

Mingyu might not be as smart as he does, but he knows he would become a doctor as long as he would take the lessons by heart and if he would overcome all the challenges as a med student.

He remained standing near the door as he continued crying. It was such a misfortune for him that he's been feeling so emotional these past few days, and that bastard's words made it worse.
