To say that they were nervous would be an understatement, Sirius and Remus had both lost hope of ever finding their godchildren and now that they're sat in front of them, they aren't sure how to feel or act. Of course, they were happy, there's no doubt about that but they had an image in their minds of what the twins would look and behave like, and it seemed that all went out of the window. They weren't disappointed in the slightest, to be quite honest, they were amazed at how beautiful their godchildren are, but what surprised them the most was the power that seemed to be radiating from both of them. As children, their accidental magic was basic and even though there were no doubts that the twins would have amazing magical abilities, they didn't expect them to hold such power that could draw in the most innocent of people.

Here they sat, both in their separate armchairs, leaning back comfortably and yet, they still had an air of importance and power about them that was rather intimidating, even for two grown men.

"So, what would you like to know?" Delila asked as she slowly leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees.

"Everything," They said in unison, making the twins raise their eyebrows in amusement before looking at one another. Sirius and Remus watched as they stared at one another, both adults feeling as if they were somehow communicating without speaking a single word.

"I want to make something very clear before we start. What has happened in our lives does not define us, we don't want pity nor do we want you to get angry and murderous. We are better now and safe" Hadrian's words made the adults feel uneasy, their backs straightened as their faces showed worry.

"We need you to swear that you won't speak of this outside of this room unless permitted" The marauders could tell they were serious, their faces were emotionless but their eyes pleaded for them to agree. Remus let out a sigh and nodded his head.

"I promise you, cubs. No one will hear about this unless you tell us otherwise" The twins smile and nod their heads in thanks before turning to Sirius, whose face was a little paler than normal.

"I promise too. You can trust us" The twins sighed in relief, their tense shoulders relaxed immediately as they leaned back into the armchairs.

"We want to ask a question, we're going to be quite fascinated to hear your answer" curiosity appeared on their godfather's faces.

"Where did you think we were since that night?" The twins had somewhat of an idea of what the answer would be, but they had a sliver of hope that it wasn't the case. Remus' eyebrows furrowed as he thought over their question.

"Well, I was in Azkaban so I didn't have a clue" Sirius shrugged, but the twins could see the sadness in his eyes. The twins remember how Sirius was begging Hagrid to let him keep us with him but, of course, Dumbledore would never allow that. They knew Dumbledore wanted them weak, he wanted them to be clueless about the magical world and for them to seek comfort and knowledge in him. That way, he could warp them into whoever he wanted them to be. They saw the anger in his eyes when they arrived, knowing full well that they didn't need or want either of those things.

"The headmaster told me that you were given to a wizarding family, a couple that wasn't able to have kids of their own" Remus noticed the looks the twins exchanged, what shocked him and Sirius the most was the pure hatred and anger in their eyes.

"That bastard" Delila growled, her fingernails digging into the leather armrests. Her response was unexpected and had put them both on edge. Remus had always felt guilty for not fighting harder to gain custody, but his grief overtook his life majorly and the laws that were in place at the time would have never allowed it. In his mind, they were better off away from him and his monstrous disease.
