Hadrian's POV
My eyes peeled open slowly, the bright sun shining down on me and for a split second, I felt as if I was home in Potter manor until the memories of the night before came flashing back. A large grin appeared on my face as I remembered the look on the old bastard's face when Delila and I appeared. It brought me great satisfaction when I saw the anger underneath his ridiculous twinkling eyes, and I know both my twin and I will relish in causing him more trouble in the future.
Thinking back on the previous night softened my smile. Reuniting with uncle Pads and Uncle Moony was amazing but seeing the interaction between them and our parents was a sight for sore eyes. It was beautiful and heartwarming, and it got even more so when Sirius reunited with his younger brother.
A small pop snapped me out of my thoughts, I raised onto my elbows and I tilted my head in curiosity at the small nervous house elf standing at the end of my bed.
"H-Hello Master Potter, I am Landish" He introduced himself as he fiddled with his pillow case type outfit.
"Hello Landish, how can I help you?" I asked politely. There was always something about house elves or creatures in general that softened my heart. Many were treated poorly, looked down upon and tortured just because certain types of wizards and witches assume they are beneath them. What those people don't understand is the fact that house elves have unique magic of their own, and despite having to rely on the families they serve to survive, they too are rather powerful and extremely helpful and friendly when treated right.
"Landish is wondering if master and mistress Potter want their food brought or in the great hall?" Landish said with a little more confidence, his large brown eyes shining toward me as he continues to fiddle with his Hogwarts uniform.
"We'll be having it in the great hall, but may I call you if I get hungry throughout the day?" I watch as Landish's eyes lit up and he nodded eagerly.
"Yes! Of course Master! Master needs to be taken care of" and with that, the house elf disappeared, leaving me amused. I let out a small chuckle and threw the covers off of me before leaving the warmth of my bed. I let out a yawn and stretched, cringing slightly as some pops and cracks were heard as I did so.
I spend the next hour showering, getting changed into black jeans, a white shirt and my leather jacket before walking into the main room where I found Delila sitting with Ivy and Hydro draped around her shoulders, both grown excessively whilst in their care.
$Good morning$ I hissed in parseltongue, gaining their attention. Delila's face lit up and approached me, placing my familiar onto my shoulder before placing a kiss on my cheek.
$How wassss your sssleep?$ She asked as she walked over to the table, me following close behind and being given a mug of coffee. I let out a sigh of relief and smiled down at her appreciatively, which she returned.
$Took a while to fall asssleep but was nice, how was yoursss?$
$difficult$ She mumbled and looked down, making me sigh and wrap my arms around her, bringing her into my chest.
$did you take your potion?$ She shook her head, making me huff slightly before pulling away but keeping my hands on her arms.
$Ivy, I need you to make sssure sshe takess her potion$ Ivy immediately perked up and raised slightly on her shoulder whilst Delila rolls her eyes. Ever since we ran away from the Dursleys, I had grown extremely protective of her but not as much as death was. He became somewhat of an uncle figure to us, and though he was serious the majority of the time, he was also sweet, protective and fun.
$Yesss, I will do just that$ Ivy hissed before curling back around her, snuggling into her neck to fall asleep. I let out a chuckle and rubbed Hydro's head, making him hiss in satisfaction.
