I woke up, holding the Orange fox with green eyes plush. I feel arms around my waist, and soft breathing on my neck. Laughing Jack cuddles me. He was actually sleeping. Suddenly, my phone rings. Laughing Jack flinches and then growls, due to the noise. I grab it, Laughing Jack leans over my shoulder, his head resting on my shoulder, to see who it was. It was my parents, I answer it. "Hey, (Y/n), we were just checking up on you. It's now a week, since you've been working there. Has Loafing Joke been treating you fairly?" Mom asks. "It's Laughing Jack. And yes, he's a great boss. 50 dollars a day, 350 dollars a week" I reply. Laughing Jack listens.

"Oh, that's good. With that much money, maybe you could finally move out and buy your own house" Mom says. "Yeah, Maybe" I reply. "Well, I got to go, Carlee wants to play a board game" Mom says, hanging up. "My name is literally in the name, of this circus. How can she not pronounce it, correctly?" Laughing Jack asks, annoyed. "I don't know, Loafing Joke" I say, playfully. Laughing Jack growls. "Don't call me that" Laughing Jack mutters.
I check the time. "Oh, no, we slept late. You're going to be late for your show!" I say, getting up, but Laughing Jack pulls me back down. "We're closed the 7th day, for maintenance" Laughing Jack states. "Oh" I reply. "But, we should get up anyways" Laughing Jack says sitting up. "So, what do you usually do during maintenance?" I ask.
"Well, I usually inspect and test run all the rides here" Laughing Jack states. "So the just Ferris Wheel and the Carousel?" I ask. "No, there's way more rides than that! You haven't see the other side of the Fairgrounds?" Laughing Jack asks, I shake my head no. "Ok, here...Then let me show you. You could probably help me as well" Laughing Jack says, motioning me to follow him. I follow him and finally see it. Tons of highly colored Carnival rides. "So the first one is called FireBall. If you want you can test ride it. " Laughing Jack states. "So you are using me, to test out the rides?" I ask. "I mean if you don't want to ride it, I get that your too much of scaredy-cat." Laughing Jack replies.
"I'm not a Scaredy-cat" I state. "I've seen 5 year olds going on this ride and they loved it. " Laughing Jack says. "Trust me, I won't let anything happen to you" Laughing Jack replies. "Ok, it does look kinda fun" I state. I get on the huge crane ride called Fireball, the ride starts up. It was kinda scary, as it swung back and forth and the base rotated. The view was nice though, I could see the other rides and the circus tent.
