"Is... is your arm okay?" Mai asked Jay. He rolled his eyes, annoyed. He was probably fed up with being asked that question repeatedly.

We were walking down the ride's exit. There were quite a few stairs leading down to the bottom.

"Yeah, it's fine," he affirmed. "You should've seen the other guy."

"What?" she said, confused. I couldn't blame her.

"Mangle chased us," Jay tried to explain. He lifted his head high, feeling proud of his accomplishment. "I tore them to pieces."

"Mangle?" Mai said.

"That's what they said their name was," I replied.

"Huh," she said. She brought her hand up to her chin as she thought. "That name sounds really familiar."

"It does?" I said. I thought that Mangle was a new animatronic.

"Yeah, I think one of the old animatronics from, like, the eighties was named Mangle," she said. She snapped her fingers as a thought came to mind. "You know who would know?"

"Who?" I asked.

"Michael," she said, and she smirked at me, clearly poking fun at me. She chuckled a little and then said, "But Isaac would probably know, too."

Michael's number one fan.

"I hope Isaac's doing alright," Jay said. "We didn't get to see him after school."

When the three of them had come to meet me, they said Isaac wasn't answering any of his texts. I wondered for a minute if maybe... he was taken first. He would've been missing for hours at this point. Had his family noticed yet?

"Tyler's super sensitive. Do you think he's crying, all scared and alone?" Mai said, being a bit melodramatic.

"We were all crying five minutes ago!" I said. She waved her hand as if to dismiss my comment.

"That didn't happen," she murmured. I groaned. I knew Jay and Mai were the tough types, but that didn't mean they had to be embarrassed of crying when faced with death.

"Look, let's just find the two of them and go home," I proposed. That was all I wanted to do. I didn't want to stay here any minute longer. I wanted to see Michael.

"Find the Pastors," Mai said, like it was some kind of task in a video game.

"Find the exit," Jay said.

"Go home," I added last. That was all I wanted to do. I just wanted to go home.

"God..." Mai sighed. "Did this really have to happen on a Thursday night? What about school tomorrow?"

Well, that wasn't something I personally had to worry about, but she had a point. Not to mention that they'd probably be expected to be at home around seven in the morning. Would we make it in time?

"What am I supposed to do about this?" Jay said, raising his injured arm. I winced looking at it. No matter how many times I saw it, it still looked awful. I wasn't sure if I would ever get used to it.

"That's all trivial," I said, trying to lighten the mood. "We'll worry about it once we're all together again."

Jay glared at me, but he had a small smirk. "Can't believe you just called my injury trivial, " he teased. I gently pushed him as a joke. He chuckled with me.
