Pandemonium reaches an all time high outside Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. People are beginning to riot. The town has gone off the deep end. We try to put a stop to it but it doesn’t work. People begin pushing their way inside to look for Michael. I try to tell them he is no longer in there but they just push past me like it’s nothing. I can hear a distant voice calling out.

“Faye!”

It’s Faye’s sister. Thank God she is ok. It’s been such a wild night I completely forgot she was with Faye. The two sisters embrace in a long hug. Probably the longest I’ve ever seen. The worst part about all of this is that the night isn’t over yet. Michael is still out there roaming the streets of Haddonfield. I can’t rest until he’s dead.

I look over amongst the crowd, I can see Laurie with a par of car keys. I stare over to her, she shakes her head in disapproval. I know exactly what she is thinking, because I’m thinking it too. I approach her discretely.

“I know what you’re planning, I want in.”
“No, this is between me and him” she replies whispering.

“With all due respect Laurie, I owe him and I won’t sleep until he’s dead.”

She nods in approval. So it’s agreed, just her and me. No need to bring anyone else into this more than they already are. I can see Faye looking over at us. She approaches us.

“I know you two aren’t thinking what you’re thinking.”

“Faye, we need to end this, tonight. We can’t bring anyone with us. I need to be focused, and I can’t focus if I need to be looking out for other people.

“Just, come back to me” she says.

“I always come back.”

I kiss her gently and hug her. It’s hard to let go but I know this is for the best. Myself and Laurie get into the car as everyone turns their focus to us. They watch us drive away as I look into the rear view mirror.

“To the Myers house we go” says Laurie.

We pull up outside the run down house. It’s exterior is old and rusted. It’s almost as if no one has lived here for decades. Then I remember Laurie and Allyson. They waited in that house, every night for years. Just waiting for the Boogeyman to return. The dedication and courage it must’ve taken to sleep in this house, to be that close to danger and bot even flinch. I’m not only impressed but envious. It’s incredible what two women can put themselves through, all for that one moment of revenge.

The house looks bigger at night, a lot more eerie if you will. I’ve never been inside, it’s always given me the creeps. The way it stands, it’s like it's own separate monster that needs to be conquered. I’ve never had the courage, to know evil can live so close. Well, only one way to end this. Laurie and I begin making our way up the steps, every step feels like the house gets further away. I think about not going inside for a moment, it’s easy to get scared in situations like these.

Laurie reaches for the door knob, twisting it slowly as the front door opens. I take point. The walls are torn, the floor is surprisingly clean. I look behind me, Laurie rolls her shoulders and smiles. I wouldn’t say there is a whole lot to smile about. But hey, she’s been weird for the longest time. She taps me on the shoulder, first pointing to herself then up the stairs. Oh great, spilling up. This definitely worked well the first time.

I watch as Laurie disappears into the darkness at the top of the landing. Her body gone, just like that. I don’t think I could possibly sweat more. My hands become clammy, my mind runs away with my thoughts. I can hear Laurie’s steps creaking the floorboards over me. I have to calm myself, I’m here now. No turning back. I check around the downstairs area of the house.
