Well, I had a great night. I got to hang out with Faye and we just talked all night. Nothing happened, although sometimes I wonder, did she want something to happen between us. The night at one point got very close but I managed to pull myself back. Sometimes I don't even know anymore. I mean, should I just bite the bullet and kiss her? Or am I reading to much into it.
I was surprised when I seen an over night bag with her nurses uniform in it. She clearly wanted to stay the night. I may have missed a clear sign right now. I can see her turning in my bed and no, before you wonder, I slept on the couch. It's then gentleman thing to do.
I can see her, she didn't close the door last night. I'm starting to think she done that on purpose. Oh my goodness, she wanted me to go into her. How did I miss that sign. I feel like a dummy. It's hard to know these days between signs and crossing the line. I mean, could you imagine if I wasn't invited in? What would've happened then.
I'm making us breakfast, a good strong fry and black coffee. I'm sure Faye is working, hence the over night bag with her uniform. I can hear her in the other room, she's awake. I hope she doesn't I'm not into her. I mean was last night my opportunity? Or was it harmless mistake. Oh shit, here she comes.
"Good morning" she greets me with a smile.
"Good morning Faye, how did you sleep."
She continues smiling, how can someone be so positive all the time, she radiates happy vibes, not like Daisy. I'm about to ask her to stay for breakfast when I hear a thud on my door. Oh good lord, not now. I open the door swiftly, Daisy pushes right past me with the papers to sign over Sal's. She makes her way into my kitchen a now fully dressed Faye. Daisy is stunned, she giggles.
"Wow, you're banging the nurse."
I'm embarrassed, I can't even look at Faye. I can't believe Daisy is being this way. She has Mr. Money, what does she care anyway. Daisy mumbles then continues.
"I can't believe you're banging the nurse. That's comical."
I'm getting irritated. I don't want to be a complete asshole in front of Faye but Daisy is really pushing me to my limit right now. I glance at Faye, she's just eating. She doesn't seem phased at all. I have to get Daisy out of my house, immediately.
"Daisy, can we talk outside please."
Please, as if she deserves a please. What I want to say is, hey women, get the hell out of my house. But you know, present company. We step outside, I leave the door open just a little bit. Here we go, Daisy is about to slap me with a court hearing, I can feel it.
"These are the papers to attend court next month, I'm suing you for ownership of Sal's."
Wow, didn't see that coming. Duh Daisy, obviously you would stoop so slow. First you get a massive payday and now, you want Sal's.
"Yeah Daisy, I figured as much."
I can see the steam practically coming from her ears. I know she's trying to rattle me. But hey, if it's a court she wants then it's a court she'll get. Suddenly Faye opens the door, I thought she'd have her bag and just slip out between us. Imagine how awkward that would be. She opens the door fully. She smiles at me again. My knees go weak for a moment.
"Hey sweetheart, I have to go to work in like ten minutes. Come have breakfast with me."
What the fuck, I, um, hold on. What the fuck. Oh I see, she's role-playing. Ok I'll play along.
"I'm sorry baby, I'll be right there."
Faye leans in, kissing me on the cheek. What the fuck. She is really taking this seriously she could've been an actress. Faye slows goes back inside. It looks as though Daisy is about to explode with anger. I swear her face is turning a bright crimson red. Daisy storms off of the porch, her tail tucked between her legs. I enter my house and see Faye sitting back at the kitchen table.
