Coming out. || Chapter 6.

A/N: This chapter is going to be a Byler chapter.

- In school -
( Third Person's POV )

Mike was walking side by side with Will to school, filled with laughter until a familiar voice appeared behind them.

"Hey, Wheeler! What are you doing with the Byers Losers?" Jason exclaimed with a burst of sarcastic laughter and pushed Will away from Mike.

"Jason! Don't push him. He's my friend." Mike said and used his arms to cover Will.

"Since when are you friends with a loser? Besides.. did you know that Will Byers is gay?! Homosexual freak!! Wheeler, are you sure you wanna get close to a freak like him?" Jason replied and grinned evilly and Mike slapped him.

"Shut the fuck up. Chrissy never wanted you anyway, so why are you bothering her? You stalking creep?!" Mike yelled and pushed Jason.

"What did you say?! Nonsense! Chrissy always loved me like how I loved her! You fucking asshole! Rebellious freak!" Jason yelled back at Mike and punched Mike. Before Mike punches back Jason, Will stopped him.

"Mike, I'm not worth it. Stop fighting." Will said and held on to Mike's wrist softly.

"Hey everybody! Wheeler's been infected with the homosexual disease! Run! HAHAHAHAHA!! Freak!!" Jason yelled joyfully and pointed his middle finger at Mike before he walked away proudly.

"I swear I'm going to kill that dog shit." Mike gritted his teeth and said.

"You ain't gonna hurt another person, Mike. Max's enough." Will patted Mike's shoulders and walked with Mike to their class.

"Hey, Will?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you going to visit Max at the hospital after school?"

"Um yeah?"

"Mind if I go with you? I feel kinda guilty."

"Sure!"

"Alright. See you after school then, Will." Mike replied with a reassuring smile before walking to his desk and a satisfied happiness smile covered Will's face.

After school, Will immediately grabbed his bags and got out of the classroom, alongside Mike.

When the boys reached the local hospital nearby,

"Um hi, Mr?" Will asked at the front counter.

"How can I help you?"

"Is there a patient named Max Mayfield?"

"Give me a minute, let me check."

"Alright."

After two minutes, the man at the front desk was finally done checking.

"A Max Mayfield was admitted into this hospital about a few weeks ago but she was admitted into another hospital about a week ago."

"May I know the name of another hospital she was admitted to?" Mike asked.

"The name of the hospital isn't stated here."

"Oh, okay."

"So what do we do?" Will asked while walking out of the hospital.

"Let's go search for them, just us," Mike replied with a smile.

"All across Hawkins or all across the state?" Will asked with a chuckle and glanced at Mike.

"We'll look for her everywhere since Max is your best friend," Mike replied reassuringly.

After that, the boys started strolling down the streets and soon reached the woods.
