Chapter 8.

Mike's POV

"Mike? How was it? What was El's response? Is she okay?" Will asked worriedly.

"Yeah, don't worry anymore, alright? She said that she's living her best life with Max now." I replied.

"How is Max's condition? Is she okay now? Also, did El tell you where they are currently at?"

"No... but I hope one day she will."

"Have she forgiven you yet?"

"Yeah. Can we watch the movie now, Will?" I chuckled and asked.

"Oh, right." Will laughed and replied.

"Any guesses about where Max and El might be at now?" Will asked.

"Hm... I'm not sure."

"Let's play a game then. Let's guess where they are now."

"But how are we supposed to check if its the correct answer?"

"Oh yeah, I didn't think of that."

"I'm going to get a cup of orange juice. Will, do you want a cup too?"

"Uh, yeah sure."

Max's POV

I just woke up and realised that El wasn't beside me and I also realised that it is already two in the afternoon now, so I got out of bed to look for El.

When I got out of the cabin, El was picking flowers at the nearby flower field next to the cabin.

"El? What are you doing?" I asked which shook El.

"Oh! Um... nothing."

"You sure? Is there any special occasion or something?"

"What are you talking about? I'm just admiring the uh... flowers here."

"I saw picking them, El."

"What? No! You probably just had dirt in your eyes."

"Hm. Pretty sure I don't. Or... is the flower for me? Since when did my baby dinosaur graduated into a sneaky dinosaur?"

"Oh no, don't self assume. It ain't for you, Max."

"Then who is it for?"

"Uh... a monkey."

"That's standing in front of you?"

"Um, yeah fine maybe."

"Is it yeah or fine or maybe?"

"Maybe! I'm getting back into the cabin!" El rolled her eyes jokingly and stormed her way back into the cabin with the flowers in hand.

"What are we having for lunch later?" I asked El while hugging her from back as she puts two packets of macaroni into the pot on the kitchen counter.

"Just wait and see, Max." El replied while chuckling.

"Aw I really would've loved helping you in the kitchen." I said with a pout.

"Go and take a rest, Max. You have not fully recovered from your injury yet, I don't wanna send you back to the hospital." El said and flicked my forehead softly with her finger.

"Aw, okay fine." I replied with a pout, then went back to my room.

After about an hour, El was finally done.

"Max! Come out and look what I've made for us!" El shouted excitedly as I dashed out of my room immediately to check out what my girlfriend had in store for the both of us.

"No way! Mac and cheese?" I exclaimed joyfully while admiring what my girlfriend just made.

"Yeah, your favorite. Plus, I even added more cheese since you've always liked extra cheese!" El said, proud of what she just made.

"You remembered! El, you're the best girlfriend in the entire universe, I swear I love you so much." I said and went to hug El tightly.

"Dig in." El replied with a warm smile.
