The night is uneventful mainly because I have a big bottle of milk before getting to bed with another on the bedside cabinet just in case. After breakfast, I'm dressed in my nicest dress and shoes before Jack gets in the car. "Liam, do you want a lift?" Liam shakes his head smiling as he leaps out of the door. "Nah. My girlfriend is picking me up" I giggle and he kisses my forehead. "When did you get a girlfriend Liam? I want to meet her, you know get to know her" Liam shakes his head. "You mean you want to make sure she's a law abiding citizen. Not gonna happen mate" He laughs jogging down the road and Jack places me in my car seat which is now in the front seat. "For today only though!" I nod and fiddle with my dress as he gets in and drives off.
When we arrive at the police station, Jack's boss greets us. "This must be the lovely Lottie!" I wave at him and put my thumb in my mouth. "Come on then" We go up to the computer rooms and I'm handed over to Grace who is the designated babysitter. "Grace, in her bag are some bottles and paer bags. The paper bags are for if she has a panic attack. "She's only had one since she's come to me but it's just a precaution. If she tells you that she's getting tired, can you give her a bottle?" Grace nods and squeezes his shoulder gently. "You shouldn't worry so much. I look after my niece all the time so I know what to do." she laughs, a cute musical laugh. "Ok well, I'll sit next to you until I have to go" I giggle and he ruffles my hair playfully as he sits down. "Lottie be a good girl, won't you?" I nod and he rubs my back gently. "Want some berries?" I nod and he pulls out a small pot of blackberries. I grin and stuff some in my mouth. "She likes these a lot. There's some more in her bag. There's also some jars of carrot puree and applesauce" I grin and continue munching. "Sir" Grace and Jack say as they stand to attention. I go to stand but the man shakes his head smiling. "You don't have to do that Lottie" I sit back down and the man comes up to us. "Jack we need you in the incident room. Immediately." Jack nods standing hurriedly before giving me a kiss on my head. I sniff grabbing his hand. "Be careful" He laughs and hugs me gently, whispering that he will be.
Once he's gone, Grace lifts me onto her lap. "Want to play a game on my phone?" I nod and she pulls up candy crush on her phone before handing it to me. Whilst I'm playing the game, Grace pulls up some files on her computer.
"Grace?" She looks down and nods. "I'm getting sleepy" She grins and reaches into my bag pulling out a bottle of milk. She then picks me up taking me into the kitchen where she heats the bottle up before taking me back into the computer room. Once we're seated, she puts me in the feeding position. I drink immediately and all the officers around us go aww making me scrunch up my face.
"Hey Lottie, time to wake up sweetie, Jack's back" I blink and reach for my brother who picks me up immediately and holds me tightly. "Was she good?" Grace nods saying that I played some games on her phone for a bit then slept a lot of the day. He smiles and pats my back. "Thanks Grace. Ready to go home Lottie?" I nod and lean against his shoulder. "Guess you're still tired, huh?" I nod weakly and he strokes my hair. "Come on then"
