I've been avoiding Thanatos for a week now. I want to talk to him but I don't even know where I would start. It's bad enough that I left without saying a word but then I ran when I finally got to see him again.
"Zagreus," I hear a soft voice say from beside me, snapping me out of my thoughts. I turn to look at the person to whom the voice belonged.
"Thanatos..." I say under my breath. He gently grabs my wrist.
"Thought you could just get away from me, did you?" Thanatos looks me in the eyes. I looked down not daring to meet his gaze.
"You left... You left without telling me as much as a 'goodbye'," Thanatos said with a venomous bite to his words.
"I- didn't have time to say goodbye. But I thought of you and hoped you would understand. I had to leave, I couldn't stay," I say finally looking up at him finally meeting his eyes.
"You didn't have to run last week. It's been three years and you never contacted me, not once!" Thanatos sighed and let go of my wrist. "I thought I would never see you again," He said clenching his fists and looking down at his feet.
It was silent for a moment.
"I'm sorry, that I ran from you... and that I never contacted you after I left," I apologized.
"I was hurt when I heard you left," Thanatos said with tenderness in his voice.
His hazel eyes meet mine. I didn't know what to tell him. He looked hurt and he had good reason to feel that way.
He hesitated for a moment before he turned and walked away. I stood there as I watched him walk off, his words repeating in my head.
I really messed up...
*flashback about two years ago*
At work, I was experimenting trying to make a new drink. I had Dioynsus test it since I don't enjoy drinking.
"Zag man this is great!" Dionysus said putting the empty glass down.
2 parts Peach Vodka
2 parts Ameretto
1 part lemon juice
"I call it nectar," I say whilst writing the recipe down. Then tucked the paper into my pocket.

"People will love this!" Dionysus says
"Don't tell people about this its only for one person," I say putting the ingredients away.
"Oh~ for who?" He asks with a smirk on his face.
For Thanatos...
"That's none of your business," I say with a small blush, "Stop smiling like that and get out of my bar, you've had enough to drink."
"You're no fun," he pouts.
I called Aphrodite to pick him up and continued my work shift.
*End of flashback*
