The next day at school I was much more aware of the people in my classes. I never thought of it before, I didn't realize how reserved I've become.
As I was walking down the hall a poster on the wall caught my attention. It was a fencing sign-up sheet. I used to fence in high school, I only ever lost to Asterius. He was a cool guy, huge and hairy, but he was nice. I couldn't say the same for his boyfriend, Theseus, he always got on my nerves. Maybe I should sign up, it can't hurt to try.
"You haven't played that in a while," Megaera said from behind me, causing me to jump.
"M-meg I didn't even notice you," I sighed.
"Thanatos was looking for you yesterday, I've been so busy with the student council I never cared to say hi"
"Hey, can you do me a favor? Please don't tell Thanatos that you saw me," I ask.
"Fine, but you have to talk to him eventually," She sighed, "He deserves an explanation"
"I know," I said under my breath, ashamed.
She waved and walked off.
