I'm Here...

I was getting ready for school. I was brushing my teeth when I noticed the dark circles under my eyes. I normally didn't sleep much, I usually get about an hour of sleep but the past week I haven't been able to sleep. I didn't think much of it and continued getting ready for the day.

I walked into the orchestra room. I walked over to my seat to be greeted by Dionysus.

"Zag you look tired, did you sleep at all?" He asked.

"I haven't been able to sleep the past week," I say unfazed. 

He looked at me with a concerned look on his face. He was about to talk again but Professor Orpheus walked in and started class. 

*lunch*

I got my food and sat down by Hermes, Artemis, Aphrodite, and Dionysus. 

"You look awful little godling," Aphrodite says in concern.

"Aw~ thanks," I say sarcastically. 

"Zagreus you should really take better care of yourself," Artemis says.

"Dionysus told us you haven't slept all week," Hermes adds in.

"Zag we're worried about you, you've been acting weird all week," Dionysus puts his hand on my shoulder. 

I look at them, thinking about what I should tell them. I don't really want to talk about it. But I don't want to leave them in the dark. I sigh.

"I've just had a lot on my mind lately," I tell them not wanting to talk about what has been on my mind lately. 

"Just be sure to take care of yourself and if you ever need to talk we will be here," Artemis says. 

After classes, I went to fencing tryouts. I was a bit rusty because it has been a while since I last played. I don't think I did that bad for not playing in so long. 

"Zagreus, Hey! It's been a while," Hypnos says walking up to me.

"Hey," I waved.

"How have you been? Life treating you well?" Hypnos asks.

"I've been fine I guess. what are you doing here?" I put my fencing gear down.

"I'm collecting sports registration papers," He answered. I then notice the papers in his hands.

"Oh, here I have mine with me," I got the paper out of my bag and handed it to Hypnos. 

"I got to collect some more papers and get them to the student council, but we should hang out sometime," Hypnos says walking away.

After tryouts, I was walking down the halls hoping to run into Thanatos. I still had so much to say to him. 

A wave of exhaustion hits me. I sat down on the floor leaning against the wall and rested my eyes. I then started to drift off to sleep.
