Delilah's pov:
It's been another week sense pony came over to my house. My mother still barely let me out of the house, but I've seen sucking up to her and acting all sweet and caring so maybe she'll change her mind and let me go out again.

I have called pony a few times secretly just so he wouldn't miss me and try to come over again. I missed him too though.

I had gotten up and had started cleaning the house when my mom came up to me.

"Hey hun, you've been very helpful around the house and I've decided I'll let you leave the house to talk to your friend. She said looking down at her hands.

I looked up at her with a huge smile.

"Really? You will?" I said turning my body to face her, smiling like an idiot.

"Yeah hun, I've thought about what you said and I've realized you're right."

I kept smiling finally happy I didn't have to secretly call pony anymore and can go see him and the gang.

"Thank you so much mom!" I said leaping into her giving her a big bear hug.

"You're welcome, but go have fun with your friend. Make sure you protect him or socs will get him!" She said letting go of me and walking off.

Little did she know. He's already been beat by a soc, trying to see me.

"Don't you want me to finish cleaning though?"I asked still holding onto my spray and rag.

"Nah! Don't worry about it I'll finish it, just go have fun!" She said coming back into the room and taking the supplies out of my hands.

I said no more and ran to my room to change. I still had my pjs on so I grabbed some jeans and a decent blue shirt.

I ran to my room and brushed my hair and put it into a ponytail. Once I was done I ran back down the stairs and grabbed my shoes and coat.

Yes! I hope pony's home so I can surprise him. The reaction on his face would be priceless!

I giggled and smiled the whole way there. Thinking about how surprised he'd be seeing me there. And probably confused.

I had made it to his house, thankfully no socs had bothered me. I opened the gate and walked up to his porch. I glanced into the window to see the gang sitting on the floor, but no pony.

I just shook my head and knocked on the door. Darry answered the door, and smiled.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" He said while hugging me. I've always liked Darry he's always felt like a father to me. You know like the one I don't have anymore.

"My mom let me see you guys, I sucked up to her so she let me go." I said winking at him, causing him to laugh.

"Who is it?" I heard pony say stepping out from the hallway.

I walked in and everyone saw me. Man did it feel great. They all got up and came to hug me. I've never felt so loved. Pony came up to me to hug me after all the guys had already done so.

"I'm so happy you're here, but why are you here?" He said looking into my eyes.

"For the past week I've been so sweet and nice to my mom that she let me have my privileges again." I said smiling with a smirk.

"Oh I see what you did you're funny." He said chuckling.

"We'll come one! We should go to the library together!" He said grabbing his jacket and shoes.

"But I don't have any books to return?" I said looking down at him while he ties his shoe.

"How many did you check out?" He said getting up from tying his shoe.

"Um just two, two is always my limit."

"Okay sweet you can check out two more, the limit really is four books at a time." He said smiling at me

This boy knew everything?!

"Alright then let's go!" I said grabbing his hand

"Darry we'll be back later! Pony said running out the door with me.

We ran for a few minutes just giggling and laughing the whole time, just doing what best friends do. We slowed down eventually catching our breath.

"Man am I happy to see you!" Pony said while giving me a hug. A tight one.

"I've missed you a lot, having to sweeten up for my mom and not yell at her was hard." I said chuckling a little before pulling away from him.

We started walking again, pony shoved his hands in his Jean pockets and I put mine in my coat pocket.

"Did Cherry apologize to you?" Pony asked me

"No. I thought she would have by now considering how guilty she had looked but whatever." I said looking down at the pavement.

I had forgotten about Cherry, sense I was to busy missing the gang. Cherry hadn't talked to me at all the whole two weeks. She never spoke to me at dinner nor at breakfast. But I'd rather have it like that. I don't need her pity or some dumb apology from her. It won't change my mind about her.

"Well what have you been doing while I was gone, I mean it's fall break. Didn't you do something?" I said turning to pony

Pony is a nerd, he reads way more then I do and he reads faster than I ever could. So honestly I was only expecting him to say he read the whole time.

"Well I went to the DX a few times with Soda and read some. That's about it." He said casually turning back to face in front of him.

"Really, so just being a nerd like always?" I said smiling knowing I'm getting in his nerves.

"Oh shut up, like you did anything either, nerd 2.0" pony said while ruffling up my hair.

"Knock it off pony, I fixed my hair nicely today." I said while chuckling.

"And I'm sure you wouldn't want me messing up that perfect greased back hair." I turned and smirked at pony before I reached my hand over his head.

"No no!!" He said while laughing and grabbing my arms to stop me from touching his hair.

We laughed and messed with each other the rest of the way there. When we finally arrived at the library we went in to greet Mrs. Riley.

After we greeted her we went to look for books, we talked and looked. It gave me deja vu, this was the same way we met.

"Hey Delilah." Pony turned to me

I turned to look at him.

"Would you like to spend the night at my house, you know sense we haven't seen you in forever." He said smiling warmly at me.

"Hah, sure pony, I'd love that." I said turning back to look at the shelf. Him doing the same.

I turned slightly towards pony to get a good look at him. His face was looking better because his cuts and bruises were fading. His green eyes moving side to side reading a page of a book. His perfect greasy, brown hair looking better than ever. He's the bestest friend I could have ever got. He looks perfect and he is perfect. Always so sweet and caring, and always wanting to hangout.

I blushed looking away from him, my stomach felt all fluttery like I had butterflies. Why did I feel this way all of a sudden?
